                “Yes we were. So has she eaten dinner?” Bette asked.

     

                “No, I was just getting ready to get her something.” Carmen answered.

     

                “Thank you, Carmen. I think we will take her home and get her ready for bedtime. Feed her and bath her and play with her for a little while. Thank you guys for watching her.” Tina looked at Bette and smiled. “We really appreciate it.”

     

                “Not a problem, guys. We were happy to do it. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Good night Princess.” Shane said as she blew a kiss to the baby.

     

     

    *****At Tina and Bette’s house.

     

                “T. can you bring us a towel? I forgot to get one before I got in the shower.” Bette called from the shower.

     

                Tina smiled as she saw her two favorite women showering before bed. “Here you go, baby. I have dinner for her. You want me to take her so you can finish up?”

     

                “Yes, thank you. I will be right out and we can read to her before we put her down for the night.” Bette said as she handed the wet toddler to Tina.

     

                When Bette arrived into the kitchen, Tina was finishing up feeding her and wiping her face. They retired into the living room and Tina had Angelica on her lap as she sat next to Bette. Bette read ‘Good Night, Moon’ to Angelica. It was a wonderful evening. Angelica fell asleep in Tina’s arms.

     

                “She is amazing, Tina. You did such a good job. She is everything I would have wanted. Thank you.” Bette said as she gently touched Angelica’s soft black curls.

     

                Bette stood up and lifted the sleeping child into her arms and tucked her into her bed. She stood next to Tina as they watched her sleep. “I want another one.” Bette whispered.

     

                “I do, too. Maybe we ought to start considering it.” Tina said.

     

                Together they walked toward their bedroom. They brushed their teeth and washed their faces and got into bed. Tina curled up next to Bette.

     

                “Tina?”

     

                “Yes?”

     

                “Would you marry me?” Bette asked out of no where.

    6. I feel sorry for the next person I get involved with. She could be waiting a looooooong time before I jump into bed with her. lol That’s another discussion for another time but I just had to mention it since they said they waited only about 2 weeks. The end was really sweet. Didn’t see the proposal coming at all.

    9. Yes, Damn it IC listen to West Tx. She knows what the hell to do with Bette and Tina. Get a clue woman. This was a great chapter with the ladies reconnecting physically. I can’t wait for the party and the gang back together. Post again real soon, please with a cherry on top.
