    Author Notes:

    “Is tonight the first time you’ve danced with a woman?” Tina asked and Bette nodded. “Would you like to dance with me?”

    “Are you sure you’re not too tired to go out?’ Tina called to Bette from her room as they continued to get ready for the party..

    Bette almost told her that she was physically fine but mentally exhausted but there was no way in hell she was going to allow Tina loose with a bunch of lesbians without her there.

    “I feel great. I’m an athlete you know.” She answered in jest.

    Tina walked into her room. She was wearing a tight black short skirt, knee high boots and a vest.

    “Wow, you look hot.” Bette exclaimed.

    The only thing that kept Tina from grinning like an idiot at the compliment was the fact that her brain was too flustered to comprehend it. She was taking in Bette as she had never seen her, in tight black leather pants and a sequined halter top held together at the back but a simple tie.

    “God Bette. I’m going to have to handcuff you to me so that you’re not swept away by all the women. Tina was only partially kidding. Meanwhile the image of being handcuffed by Tina was making Bette’s heart beat fast.

    Bette sprayed on some perfume, grabbed her bag and extended her elbow to Tina. “Shall we?”

    Tina gave her a big smile. “Most definitely.”

    They met the others in the huge downstairs ‘rumpus room’ that opened out onto a larger deck that over looked the pool and the ocean behind it. Tina glanced around. “This place never fails to amuse me. Its such an extension of Shane. Especially now.” Bette looked around the room, impressed with how much more the place looked like a dance club rather than a residence. “I love it. How do you think Jody would like it if I redid the livingroom like this?” Bette joked.

    “Why don’t you just do it and surprise him.” Tina suggested, smirking at Bette. Bette elbowed her.

    “Tina you look good enough to eat.” Helena said.

    “Save me a bite.” Marina added. Bette had the feeling that these two were now teasing her with their overt flirting with Tina and decided that she needed to get her own back. “Actually I get first dibbs, right Tina.”

    6. NOT that I condone adultery, but in this case with the husband being such a “DICK” and Tina and her are really ment to be, I am doing a happy dance. Glad for Dana and Tina going after her girl. Can’t wait for Bette to come into her own. Tina is going to be in heaven and will reap all the rewards!! Please post soon!!!

I’ve not commented so far, ’cause I was late… but I really like this story : I like tennis, and tenniswomen (go Amélie, go !!) but I also like your story for its original point of view : I liked that you reversed the “usual” situation, Tina being the lesbian, and Bette being the married “straight” one , unsure of herself, (even if she is still very alpha)… I don’t know exactly when is the US Open… but I hope you won’t finish too soon : after so long waiting before coming to the point, these two need time to enjoy, heh ?!! (and we need it too…) so please, go on with the story ASAP !
