Chapter 55:

Bette’s head is pounding.  She hears Beyonce’s Love on Top, which is her current ringtone for her sweetie.  She goes to reach for her phone and her head pounds again.

“Aaw shit,” She whispers as she looks over to the unoccupied bed across the room.  She wonders briefly if Erica ever came home last night.

“Hey T.”

“Ooh, you sound hung over.  How are you babe?”

“Not good.  Why do I keep forgetting that tequila is not my friend?”

“Oh Mr. Jose Cuervo got you huh?  Mmm remember that night you had like 5 shots?”

“Don’t remind me T.” Bette winces.

“Aaw I’m sorry baby. I wish I was there to take care of you the way I did that night.”

“Hmm you took care of me alright,”  Bette smiles at the erotic memory of the two before she came up to school.  “I especially liked our little experiment.”

“I still say the pineapple juice made you even sweeter than usually baby.  Mmmm, you taste so damn good B.”

“Back at you baby.  I’m sorry to be the one to break it to you dear, but that’s a myth.”

“Baby, you’re tongue was numb that night.  You wouldn’t have known if you were sucking on a lemon!”  Tina laughed.

“I so would.  Baby I am never too drunk to discern the delectable flavor that is my boo.”

“I’m delectable huh?”

“Yes T.  You know that.  I tell you all the time.  You are so sweet T.”

“Aaw baby.  So are you.  I can’t wait to see you.”

“Me neither.  We only have to wait a few weeks for my next break.”  Bette looks over at her clock and sees she has about an hour for her first class.

“Baby I need to get a few more minutes of sleep before my first class.  I’ll call you after practice ok?”

“Ok B.  Have a good day.  Think of me.”

“Always.”

“I love you B.”

“I love you more.”

Erica comes into the room looking well rested and happy.

“Hey roomie?”  Bette said as she stretched out contemplating how much time she has before practice.

“Hey, B.  How do you feel?”

“My head hurts.  I need some food and coffee before practice.”  Bette looks over at Erica and smirked. “Did you get lucky last night?”
