Love Lost, Chapter 3
“I… have no idea why I drove us here,” Bette confessed after a while.
“It’s okay,” Tina said. “At least we won’t have to worry about anyone finding us up here.” Relieved, Bette smiled and then glanced back at the sleeping little girl.
“Can I take her in?” Bette was very cautious of how she approached Angelica, not wanting to ruin this fantasy with a battle of wills. Tina smiled and nodded affirmatively as she stepped from the vehicle. Bette slid open the side door and carefully extracted her daughter from her seat. Tina grabbed their bags, and soon they were filing into the quaint little cabin.
The cabin belonged to a friend of Bette’s from college, who had given her permission to use it whenever she wanted. She extracted the key from its hiding spot and opened the door for her ex, following close behind. It looked as if the cabin hadn’t been visited in ages. Dust and cobwebs were abundant, but the cabin was still in pretty good condition. Neither woman spoke as they entered. A flood of memories coming back to each of them as they glanced between the fireplace and the stereotypical bear skinned rug, and the kitchen where more than a few erotic encounters took place. This would be a much different experience though, with a baby in tow and a life together abandoned.
Bette casually walked towards the master suite. It was indeed a suite, as the inside of this rustic cabin wasn’t nearly as primitive as it’s exterior advertised. The Jacuzzi still looked inviting and the bed as comfortable as ever. Stifling a yawn, Bette turned back to Tina who had laid their bags on the floor and wandered over to the fireplace. A roaring fire in this very spot flashed nostalgically through her mind. The echoes of their moans and screams sent chills and… the shadow of desire through her skin.
“I’ll get some wood in a little while,” Bette said, piercing the silence and thus Tina’s trance. Tina gasped in surprise. “You all right?” Bette asked concerned.
“Yeah… yeah… you just scared me.” She stared at her little girl cradled lovingly in Bette’s arms still fast asleep on her shoulder.
“I, uh, think there’s a crib still in the other room. I’m going to go check and lay her down for a while.”
Tina nodded mutely, and watched as Bette maneuvered through the cabin. When she returned, Tina easily read the exhaustion in Bette’s face. There were heavy bags under her always beautiful, big, brown eyes. Her gait was haggard, and her energy drained. Yet despite all this, Bette stood before Tina now and smiled with every ounce of sincerity she had. The past four hours had been a miracle in her mind. Tina returned the smile, though a little more distressed and sympathetic. She started to reach out her hand to move a strand of hair from Bette’s eyes, then stopped herself and looked down to the wood floor.

The Tibette Ship is slowly righting itself. I hope that both women are able to really sit down and talk about all the pain and suffering that both have endured the past 2 years. I am so looking forward to reading what comes next.
Yep glad Tina now talking and yeah go fight for your Bette and never let her go. OK post soon please, thanks!
That’s right FIGHT Tina! She is afterall your daughter’s mother and the love of your life!
Fantastic as usual. Love how your giving each of them their moments to relive and remember. I’m a true believer in all roads eventually lead to where we were destined to be. So they hit a fork in the road, all they have to do is for once in the last few years be honest with each other. What’s that I read, heading to S.F, coming for our parade or is it just the Grand Marshal you want to see?
