    Anyone hungry…. it’s dinnertime! What could happen when they all get together…..


    Shane rings the doorbell. Bette answering the door.

    Bette – Well. I don’t see any bruises or broken bones, so am I off the hook?

    Shane – You’re so damn funny…

    Bette – What did you find out?

    Shane – I think Tina is going to want to hear this too.

    Bette – Ohhh… this sounds good….. Tina!

    Tina – Do you have to shout?

    Bette – Sorry… Shane has news for us.

    Tina – First of all… is she coming to dinner?

    Shane – She agreed, but Gina is coming with her.

    Tina – I figured as much. It doesn’t matter though as long as Alice is there.

    Bette – So spill it ….. I want to hear the story.

    Shane – Well I told her that I saw Lara coming from her apartment that morning. She didn’t say anything at first but I could tell she felt uncomfortable about me bringing it up. Alice told me Lara had stopped by to ask her to drop the charges.

    Tina – I don’t understand… Lara said Alice wasn’t home.

    Bette – So, Lara lied? Why?

    Shane – No…. its Alice thats lying. I didn’t see Alice’s car that morning. Unless she park somewhere else, she always parks in her spot.

    Tina – Why would she say she talked to her when she didn’t? I swear this gets more complicated each time I learn something new.

    Bette – I think you’re right about Lara trashing her apartment though.

    Tina – Alice doesn’t make it a habit of lying…. there must be something going on that she doesn’t want us to know. It must be something big.

    Bette – I wonder how long this thing has been going on. Is she really messed up? Or is something really going on?

    Alice couldn’t help but feel a little nervous about having dinner with her friends. She missed them dearly, but they could be a little nosy. Normally, the nosiness didn’t bother her because she knew that they cared about her. But in this instance, she found it unnerving. No one could know what she was up to. She was too close to have it messed up by anyone. The less anyone knew the better. If things go messed up, it was her fault, no one elses.
