Dana decided to stop at the Planet on the way home. Lara was at the counter when Dana walked in.
Lara – Hi, sweetie.
Dana – Hi, babe. How’s your day?
Lara – Busy… but not too busy for you. Are you hungry?
Dana – Actually I am, can you fix me something to go?
Lara – Anything in particular?
Dana – Just surprise me.
Lara – Ok. So how did your session go?
Dana – It went alright for a first visit. I hope you’re not too tired tonight, Because I made plans for us.
Lara – Really? Are we going out or staying in? As long as I’m alone with you, either one’s fine.
Dana – We’re going out…. with my friends. They invited us to dinner.
Lara – Dana, no….. you know they don’t like that we’re married. How could you do that? You should have talked to me first.
Dana – Lara, they accept our marriage. They are throwing this dinner to prove it. Its in our honor.
Lara – I guess if it means that much to you… We can go.
Dana – Thank you, Lara. I need to tell you something else….
Lara – What is it?
Dana – I need to leave town for a couple days to get my career on track. Since Connor quit, I need to find a new manager.
Lara – But I thought you couldn’t leave town.
Dana – My doctor cleared it with Det. Landry, as long as it’s for business, I can go.
Lara – I could clear my schedule and go with you. It would almost be like having a honeymoon.
Dana – Sorry babe, you can’t go with me. I’ll be too busy to spend any time with you. I know you’re disappointed.
Lara – I am very disappointed, but I know your career comes first.
Dana – Come here.
Lara comes from behind the counter to face Dana. Putting her arms around Lara’s waist, she holds her close.
Dana – How about if I plan something special for us when I get back…. I’ll call it business. We’ll get out of town for a couple days. We can spend sometime alone together.
Lara – Really? You would do that?
