    Anyone hungry…. it’s dinnertime! What could happen when they all get together…..

    “Why won’t you call me, Alice? Why did you kiss me? I have so many decisions to make…. I need to know how you feel so I can decide what to do. I promised to honor my commitment to Lara and I mean to follow through…. But if I know that you love me, I’m not sure I can.”

    This was another thing out of Dana’s control. She couldn’t make Alice talk to her. Look at what happened when Alice tried to make her talk about her feelings…. she refused and attacked her instead. Now things were the opposite… she needed to talk.

    Giving up on her thoughts, she turned her attention to her career. With a little help from others, Dana put together a list of prospective managers. Instead of driving this time, she booked aflight to San Diego. She had more details to attend to as far as her career went, but at least the manager part was being taken care of now. Dana wanted to be packed and ready to go out the door in the morning. Tonight she would be able to sit back and relax… and enjoy dinner with her friends.

    Getting in to the safe would be no easy task. She knew nothing about safe cracking, except for what she saw in the movies. Alice did look up the type of safe she was dealing with. It was a combination lock that needed six numbers to open it. Of course it was considered a high security safe. She even went to a medical supply place to buy a stethoscope.

    She was now Alice, the safe cracker. Alice spun the dial to zero and put the stethoscope next to the dial. Slowly turning the dial, listening for a click. At least she thought thats what she was suppose to listen for. The clock on the wall kept messing her up, hearing it tick as the second hand went around. After working at it for several minutes, she gave up. She knew it was a long shot, maybe she would try again later. Alice thought of something that made her laugh. “I bet if I held this to Gina’s chest I wouldn’t hear a heart beat.”

    The thing that nagged at her was the fact that her life would supposedly change after marrying Gina. Why would it change?
