Kristen disposed of her cell phone and was waiting for another. She mailed the contents of her purse, along with all forms of identification to the bureau. Derek was informed as to what she was doing. Kristen figured that he was more than livid about what she had done. She knew that she was risking more than just her relationship with her husband. The kids wouldn’t understand what was going on, but she hoped that Derek would find a way to explain why she wasn’t going to be home for awhile. Holly would more than likely be watching the kids most of the time, which gave her some relief. Her sister was used to picking up the pieces when she fell apart.
She stuffed all the raw, conflicting feelings and concentrated on settling into her new role given to her by the bureau. All the police data banks would have her rap sheet and to protect her identity, only a couple people knew who she really was. It would look highly suspicious if she had special treatment when being brought in, especially if the mob was watching her every move… which was a definite possibility even right now. There had to be someone watching now, especially after that meeting with Bobby. She would be under a watchful eye until it was decided if there was a fit with the syndicate.
One of the first things she had to do was go out on the streets and get herself a couple of new handguns to replace her stardard issue FBI firearms. Nothing could be traced back to the FBI or her family. Her life was going to change dramatically and she was warned numerous times that there was no turning back. If Kristen wasn’t pulled into their world, they would at least investigate every aspect of her life, making sure she wasn’t a threat. They would definitely eliminate anyone. With Kristen taking out one of Bobby’s men, she would be as good as dead if anything of suspicious nature came up.
Always in the back of her mind, she wondered if Roxy would be back or even if she was still alive. Kristen wasn’t sure what Roxy might do if she saw her taking over the role as a member of the mob. She knew that she had big shoes to fill but in some ways she saw herself as more focused than her. The bureau had terminated her position. If she were to come back, she’d be on probation and be thoroughly questioned. Even upon passing a review, she wouldn’t be in charge anymore. This was Kristen’s case now and she wasn’t giving it up.

Of course I am still out here! Waiting patiently for more of this incredible story… Interesting that Marco thought Gina got what was coming to her. He does seem less emotional than the other members of his family. I also like that he helped Kristen. I look forward to hearing more about him. The additional info on Roxy is certainly fleshing out her character. Still very curious on whatever secret Sharon is hiding. Dana and Alice seem to be doing well and communicating — which makes me nervous as to when the next shoe will fall. And you seem to have a lot of shoes. ;-D Thanks so much brteyes!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! MY BABY IS BACK;-))) Damn, this was a hell of a chapter and I’m super happy that you found the time to write on this incredible story again. Thank you, darlin’. I missed it a lot….but since I’m your greatest fan (I’m not saying biggest because everyone will think of me as being fat, lol) it’s my obligation to miss it anyway, right? “Don’t touch my boobies”, hmmm? Sounds really familiar to me. Guess, I have to remind myself where I heard it last, lol. Actually, I love to hear more about Kristen’s and Roxy’s storyline at the moment. Roxy’s past, especially her relationship to Erika and how it all got started makes me so damn curious. Knowing you it’ll be a very romantic lovestory between those two….and hopefully including a lot of amazing mind blowing sex scenarios;-) Speaking of Roxy: what is she doing anyway? Where is she? I’m too lazy to go back and read, lol. Her past will probably show us a different side of her’s. Doesn’t everyone have a poker face, baby? lol Dana and Alice have found a way to each other again. Now that they want to marry everything might get more complicated. I know for a fact that this is the case, lol. I hope you’re gonna write some hot sex with them. Or do you want to end it there, huh? This “don’t touch my boobies” sentence made me laugh big time….still does. Reminds me of Bonanza as well…but this is a different story, lol. So Kristen and Marco met each other. That makes for another lovely couple. They should fall in love, get some babies, kill Bobbie and the rest of the mob, just not Rosalie, and live happily ever after….oh, and don’t forget to kill David, too. That psycho wasn’t around this time. Don’t you want to kill someone off, brteyes? lol And no, I have no ideas. Okay, I actually have one but I’m not telling ’cause it’s your story, lol. I really hope you’ll get into the writing modus again, honey. Need to read more and more and more and more and more. I’m addicted to this story….as I am to you;-) Post soon, please.
