Meet Bette Porter The 30 Yr OLd Virgin(25a)

She wanted Bette to meet her new friend but there was never the right moment nor the right time. On the other hand, Kit had mentioned several times to Tina that she had a half sister named Elizabeth but never once did she mention Bette’s last name. Doing such might only result to flood of questions about her life since she’s now using a different last name and although she liked the blonde and felt that she could be trusted, still she wasn’t comfortable in telling her life story to anyone except Bette, well at least not yet.

Through Bette’s encouragement, Kit agreed to have the full authorization of managing her inheritance from their father, Melvin Porter. Kit could now spend the money however she wanted and whenever she wanted.

Kit definitely loved every minute of her life In Shawnee, indeed, it was now her new home and she knew in her heart and mind that she would never thought of leaving the place, ever.

Kit just got home from the community center when she received a call from her younger sister asking her to come over. The brunette didn’t give any detail why she wanted to see the older woman except that she needed her big sister, Bette wasn’t crying but sadness was so evident in her voice which only made Kit worry about her even more. Although she had a clue why Bette was acting that way, still she wasn’t sure. She remembered the confrontation that she had with the younger brunette a couple of weeks ago…

For the past few months, Kit noticed some changes in her sister’s behavior. After moving in to her new house, which was about three months ago, Bette rarely dropped by at her new home. She always had excuse like she and Sarah had plans that day or she wasn’t feeling well or that she had some other appointments. She had told her sister about her new friend Tina Kennard and that she would gladly introduce Bette to her but the younger brunette was always busy and never had the time. In addition, whenever Kit visit Bette at her house or if they were having lunch or dinner outside, she would noticed that Bette was most of the time deep in her thoughts and didn’t even join in any of their conversations. If ever she chimed in, she would just say a few words or a single sentence.

    1. Thanks for the posting. I feel bad for Bette as Love is such a fickled beast. Love isn’t an easy Mistress to trust that you’re with the right one. Sometimes its like trying on a coat to see if it fits. I guess the best approach is to go with the flow and be in the moment with the relationship. Learn about your self as much as possible so if it ends you’ll at least know yourself better. Sometimes its a reason or a season or a lifetime that you get to be with some people. Enjoy the dance.

    2. phacey I was just about to post part 1 of my epic chapter that seems to be growing into numerous pages when to my delight I say that you’d posted an update on my ‘favorite story’ so I’m took a break from writing to read it. I said a mouthful on the last chapter (probably one of those comments that overwhelmed you) so I’ll keep it light. Just don’t want to see Sarah being made out to be the bad guy which you already get the feeling because Bette is devastated, drinking and you end it with ‘Sarah left me’. I wish she’d said ‘I broke it off with Sarah’. Anyway I know I keep referencing the L Word similarities between this relationship and the Jodi/Bette relationship when Bette admitted she loved Tina but I can’t help it. Their breakup was probably the longest in history but there were a few scenes where my heart actually went out to Jodi, and those were the ones where Bette was feeling sorry for herself. I got that same feeling in regards to Sarah. Bette’s the one that caused the destruction of the relationship so don’t make her out to be the one that is devastated by it. OK I said I was going to keep it light … but I can’t be trusted so I will end my rant there. Thanks for the update my friend. I think you did an awesome job with the way you crafted the chapter. You gave us insight into Kit’s reasoning, you explained the plausibility of Tina not knowing that Bette and Kit are related and you’ve shown the beauty of the sister’s newfound relationship. Looking forward to part II.

    3. Phacey once again thanks for coming back with this story and just like BAT2012 this fic is a favorite story of mine. I’m happy with the way you developed Kit’s character, she’s now in the chapter of her life where she’s strong enough to be Bette’s rock esp now that Bette is going thru some emotional difficulties. I agree this story is hard to read but just like what you’ve said on the other site, sometimes love does hurt but I’m still holding you to your promise so I assure you sweetie that I will still stay around (-:Bring on part two!!!

    4. Great chapter. Really like this story. Going to withhold my judgment until I read the next chapter. But I am happy they have ended their relationship. Can hardly wait to find out “why.”
