Shane:" Let’s go to my place and put some ice on that busted lips and that cheek of yours….it has his finger prints on it…and I need to stabilize the videotape"

 We walk to her place and she has her arm wrapped around me. I lean on her….and walk.

 In Shane and Jen’s apartment:

 Shane:"Jenny went out with Max…I doubt they are gonna be back tonight….haha"

I love her smile..Just can’t get over it. I smile, it hurts to smile…

 She runs in and brings in ice and a towel, and gently presses it on my lips and cheek. She won’t let me touch the towel….she held it for me…I turned on the TV and we watched an episode of Chuck that was on. 

Shane:"Do you wanna eat something?"

 Carmen:"No…I ate at the restaurant before anything happened…so I am good. But you should eat Shane, its pretty late"

 I go to the fridge and fix a plate for shane….with some left-over in their fridge. Shane was taking a shower. I don’t feel like going home like this with mami asking me thousand questions. 

 Shane came out of the shower, with a red beater and basketball shorts, her hair still wet and all over the place because she dries it with the towel. 

 Shane:"Oh thanks Carm….you didn’t have to do all this"

 Carmen:"Come on Shane…this is nothing…I just wanted to thank you for looking out for me today"

 Shane was pretty hungry so she started stuffing in the meatballs in her mouth….I sit across from her watching her eat. 

 Carmen:"ummm….Shane…do you mind if I sleepover here today.." Shane cuts me off….

 Shane:"Carm…you know you are always welcome here….you don’t need to ask…sure you can stay…" she says enthusiastically.

 Here I am in the same bed with Shane….we are just lying on the bed facing each other just staring into each others eyes. I know she wants to say something to me…she always stares at me in this awkward silence when she has something to ask or tell me. 

 Shane:"Ummm….Carm….I was just asking if you could come with me to the farm….on new years day….I wanna show you something…but you can say no because you might have plans…"

 Carmen:"Shane…I would love to come with you and see what surprise you have for me this time and no I don’t have any plans on that day…and even if I did..it can always wait for you. Now you can sleep in peace" 

 I put my hand on her eyes to close them and gently stroke my hand against her hair and she drifts off to sleep…..I wish every night was like this…except for the Clive part.
