Chapter 7

Bette has asked Tina if she wanted to spent the Sunday with her. She planned to take Tina to John’s Juke Joint where she’d been the Sunday before. She wouldn’t sing but she would like to see if Tina liked the music.

Tina agreed but because she would join Bette, she would spent her Saturdaynight with Alice and Danny. Bette was a little disappointed because she thought that they would also spent the night together. So Bette spent her Saturdayevening at the gym, working out. Shane found her hitting a punching bag.

“Hey missy, what’s up?”

“Hey Shane. Just working out.”

“You sound,………well I don’t know but you don’t sound too happy. Troubles in paradise?”

“No, no troubles but I had a complete other idea of spending this evening in mind. Instead Tina went to her friend to spend the evening with her and her baby boy. Something she usually does on the Sundays. But tomorrow she’ll be spending the day with me.”

“I see.”

Shane looked at her friend. Bette was really falling for this woman but she should learn how to share. And understand that Tina had friends of her own. Friends that she knew before she met Bette. And they needed her attention too.

“Buddy, take it from someone who learned it the hard way. Learn how to share and trust your girlfriend. If you don’t learn this lesson well and quick, you’ll loose.”

Shane walked away leaving Bette with questionsmarks in her eyes. Bette called her back but Shane didn’t respond.

Bette ended her workout. She packed her bag and went home, still thinking about what Shane said.

When she got home, she took a shower and texted Tina to see if she was home.

Tina and Alice

The only condition for Alice to agree in spending the evening with Tina on Saturdaynight instead of Sunday was if Tina was going to tell her everything about Bette.

Tina agreed and went to Alice her place.

When she walked in, she was greeted by a broad smiling Danny. Her first minutes were totally spent with her little friend. When she was done playing with him, she turned to his mother.
