    The ones where Tina tells Bette and Angie the truth

    New York Minute

    Chapter 27

    Bette had been finishing wrapping up some last minute gifts for Angie and Tina. She was probably more excited than Angie about Christmas. It was Christmas Eve and they had finally finished all their shopping and where now all together in their apartment while a snow storm battered New York. Bette tied a red bow on a book that she had bought Tina and looked at the small pile of presents. Taking the tape and the scissors she went back into the living room. Angie was standing next to the tree and looking at it in awe. She was probably also eyeing the brightly wrapped gifts under the tree.

     

    “Hey sweetie “

     

    “Hello Bette “

     

    Bette walked across and knelt down beside the little girl that totally owned her heart.

     

    “Are you looking forward to tomorrow ?”

     

    “Yes – are you sure that Santa knows where I live now ?”

     

    “Yes – I promise “

     

    “Its still snowing – will Santa find us ?”

     

    “Yes – I promise “

     

    Bette looked out of the window

     

    “Man that is some storm out there “

     

    Angie looked across and went to the window – she looked out

     

    “I cannot see anything “

     

    “I know – it’s a good thing that we are nice and safe in here “

     

    “Will there be people outside ?”

     

    “Yes – a lot of people don’t finish work until this afternoon -and they will have to buy their

    shopping “

     

    “Do we have to go outside again ?”

     

    “No – we got all our fruit and salad things in this morning so we are nice and cosy in here “

     

    “it’s a great place to live “

     

    “I am glad that you like it here “

     

    “I love it here – and I like my new school “

     

    As she was starting school in a few weeks they had been invited to the school concert a few days earlier. It had been a good chance to see the school in operation and also to meet some of the children and the parents that Angie would be in the same class as. It had been a huge hit with Angie and now she was even more keen to start school. It had brought tears to Tina’s eyes at the thought that her little girl was soon going to be old enough to start school.

It shows the forgiveness that has to exist between to people that have been in turmoil and then decide enough is enough, and let their love shine through.     16. Can’t stop re reading it. I have been waiting for this for so long. Now It makes me emotional. So well written, so full of love, I was crying with them too lol. incredible. I can’t say this is my favorite as all your stories are. But this story came at a point where I couldn’t stop myself missing it. You know what I think anyway but your stories are so full of HOPE and positivity that they make me belive in me and people. Thank you my hero. PPVS
