Bette was right.
That bath really did the trick and my mom relaxed a great deal, soon forgetting all the many aches associated with being a human pod. I am not entirely sure though whether her wellbeing had anything to do with the fact that Bette got in the bath tub with her. Maybe she had a sore back too or a sore head from all the complaining.
Oh boy, here we go again!
Bathroom run.
She was only there a quarter of an hour ago. Well, it seems that way anyway and she says it too, blaming me in the process. It’s not my fault that I enjoy moving, spinning, kicking, pirouetting, shimmying. She calls it her live-in-the-toilet phase, complaining that everything is getting bigger, boobs, butt, baby, belly, everything but her bladder.
Talking about bladder, mine is fully functional too which means that I, too, need to go every so often…. come to think of it…..ewwwwww!
So, life is good, for me at least and the checklist gets ticked little by little and this week alone, I can proudly mark off:
Ears: done
Fingernails: done
Testicles….mmmmm…. not growing any of those
and finally and more importantly a special substance which will help my lungs inflate should things go badly wrong at this early stage.
I am growing hair on my head too and who knows maybe a cute little cow’s lick or two is springing into position right now, ensuring years of endearing but stubborn bed-head hairstyle.
Hold on, I hear complaining again. But it’s not Tina this time. She is nice and relaxed, lying down on their bed. A soft pillow under her head, one in her back, one between her legs and another one under her belly, propping me up comfortably.
It’s Bette this time who is doing the complaining. There is no room in the bed for her and she does not think that 3/4 of the space versus 1/4 is fair.
Tina does not argue back and she removes all her pillows to invite Bette in. In actual fact she really does beckon Bette very close to her. I feel a wave of happiness submerge my mom, I hear giggling and soft words, I shake my head – that’s right I can also do that too – it’s grown up time, I will leave them to it and settle for a sleep.

I enjoy your writing, Kins. I’ve been meaning to comment and tell for some time, but I haven’t been able to get on the site to read for awhile. Keep up the good work!

Short but sweet! Thank you.
My number’s turn! And I love what you did with it!
Thanks for the posting! I loved both numbers, especially the last one. Kismet!
Flip me your imagination knows no boundsKins! Should I be awed or scared that you can convincingly give voice to a 25 week old in womb? That was absolutely precious :) And so was that predestined encounter you had them both experience as kids – chills!!! Your stories no matter their length are always filled with wonderful gems and an absolute pleasure to read. Cheers – iHH xx
Amazing…love your writing.
25… So sweet! I love pre-birth Angie’s perspective on her moms! Especially the “It’s grown ups time, I’m going to rest!” As for 29… Well, is that fate, or what? Love the idea that B and T could have crossed paths when they were kids. As in “You know what? you and I belong together, but we’re far too young to do anything about it, so see you in 29 years, babe!” LOL! Great chappy K, and OMG, what an amazing imaginative mind you have here! Hugs ;) Kw
Wow! … It’s amazing stories Kins!! :-) thanks for made me speechless after reading the second story! ;-) it’s so sweet yet so unbelievable, but I also know that something like that happens in real life, though sometimes I am wondering if fate is really exist or it just an excuse of explaining the unexplainable. anyway … I am looking forward for more updates from you for sure… And if you need more numbers, just let us know… Lol… I am sure that not only me who will be eager to share those numbers ;-)

Wonderful stories.Thank you.
I don’t comment very often, but I just had to on this one. So very different, interesting, touching, exciting, unique. I could go on and on. I just love your stories and the way you write about these two. I so enjoy reading anytime I see a post from you. These little snippets are the best and I think you could turn many of them into longer stories if you’d like. hint hint. :) Anyway, please continue…I love and look forward to them. Thanks again!! :)
