Our Life is Not A Movie… Or Maybe
“Shit!” Alice yelled as she felt someone crash into her from behind, sending all her books to the floor. The blonde turned around in a rage; “Are you freakin’ serious? Did you not see a person right in front of you?”
Dana looked up from her spot on the floor, debating whether to laugh or be terrified by the ranting young girl in front of her; “I’m so sorry. I was in a hurry and I just didn’t see you… Are you alright?”
Alice softened a bit at the girl’s tone. She wasn’t hurt, and there were only a few books she had to pick up, most of which her attacker had already started picking up. Alice picked up the last book before extending her hand to the brunette on the floor.
“I’m fine. Are you alright? You were going pretty fast there speedy.” Alice joked as she watched the girl haphazardly tidy herself up. “Sorry for yelling. I tend to be a bit edgy in the morning without coffee.”
“It’s no problem,” Dana replied smiling at the blonde. She was kind of cute. “Well since you are alright, I better scoot. I’m late for an exam.”
“In that case good luck speedy,” Alice said, before turning and walking away.
“Hey, so you’re the sports star?” Shane joked, extending her hand towards Dana, who managed to break eye contact with Alice for long enough to shake it. “You ok there? You look like you’ve seen a ghost…”
“Yeah I’m fine,” Dana stammered, shaking her head in an attempt to clear it, smiling towards Shane. “I think all the art is getting to my head.”
“Dana!” Michelle hushed her daughter. “Sorry, she tends to be a bit disrespectful towards anything that doesn’t involve a tennis racket.”
“So you’ve just moved here?” Shane asked Dana. The brunette shook her head.
“I’ve lived in L.A. for the past three years,” Dana replied wearily, refusing to meet Alice’s eyes. “With my girlfriend Samantha. Mom’s decided to move out to be closer to us.”
“I’m going to get another drink,” Alice said suddenly, smiling at the group before disappearing through the crowd.
“I think I’ll go with her,” Tina replied, following after her friend. She found her at the bar, downing a rather large glass of wine. “Ok Pieszecki, what’s wrong?”

Wow bojangles – welcome back – we’ve missed you – just jumped on and found you had loaded 2 installments of a new story – fantastic and love the way you have started and look forward to much more. Great to see you around again.
Great chapter, bojangles! Thanks for posting another so quickly. I love the flashbacks of them meeting. Too cute. I don’t like that Dana has a girlfriend. See if you can do something about that, OK? ;-D I am also very curious to find out about the Dana/Alice breakup. It sounds like it was pretty bad. Thanks so much for this story. PPS!
