    Danish, AU – some flashbacks.

    “It’s Alice Pieszecki,” Alice said as she grabbed and shook Dana’s hand. “And I’m not expecting you to do anything, I’m just hoping. So are you interested Speedy?”

    “Only if you stop calling me Speedy,” Dana replied with a smile. “It’s Dana.”

     

     “Alice.”

    Tina and Alice both turned around to see Dana Fairbanks standing awkwardly behind them.

    “You two know each other?” Tina asked looking from one to the other.

    “From a long time ago T,” Alice replied wearily, silently asking her to drop it. “Could you give us a minute?”

    “Sure thing, I’ll be over with Bette.”

    Dana waited until Tina left before she met Alice’s gaze again; “Hi.”

    “Hi Dana,” Alice took in a deep breath before forcing a smile back on her face. “Fancy seeing you here.”

    “I know. I had no idea yo-“

    “Actually fancy not seeing you before this really,” Alice interrupted, her feelings getting the better of her. “I mean L.A. isn’t that big and how long did you say you’ve been living here? Three years?? It’s amazing we didn’t bump into each other sooner!”

    “Alice I’m sorry,” Dana began her voice quiet. “What was I suppose to do? Just ring you like an old friend??”

    “That wouldn’t have worked, would it?” Alice replied, her voice almost a whisper, her eyes directed at the ground. “Friend’s don’t just leave without a word. If you’ll excuse me, I’m tired and want to go home. Please tell Shane I’ve gone.”

    “Alice please…” But Alice was already half way through the crowd, desperately trying to get out.

     

     

     

     

    “So Ms Pieszecki, what did you call me out here for?” Dana asked, grabbing her girlfriend’s hand as they walked through the college grounds. It was late, but the full moon had enveloped the grounds in a bright light.

    “Oh you know, I just wanted to have my way with you,” Alice joked, chuckling quietly. “I don’t really have a reason. I just missed you, I always miss you.”

    “Aww I’m going out with a soppy, corny girly girl,” Dana laughed, kissing the frown that appeared on Alice’s face. “And I love it. And you know something else?”

    “What’s that?” Alice asked, as she kissed Dana back. Dana pulled away just slightly, a large smile on her face.

    “I love you.” Alice’s smile widened, and Dana laughed. “I love you so much.”

    7. Hey just found ur story and boy is it good. Reli well done. Love how well and real u have the group. Im so intrigued to see more of what has happened between Al and Dana. Obviously they were a couple in the past from how this chapter ended. Anyway great great story reli like it and cant wait for next chapter PPS :) X x
