    (Previously) “This café has a very friendly atmosphere and with all our friends there you will almost feel like home,” Tina said and right away noticed a wave of sadness passing through Bette’s face. Tina began to apologize because she realized that the home reference made Bette thinking about her own home again. “Oh, Bette, I’m sorry…I meant my home, this house because it is your home, sorry…”

    Bette smiled at her gently, “Tina, you don’t have to apologize every time I get sad or confused. It will happen here and there and it’s not your fault. I’m still getting used to being away from my home, my family and…my own time but I want you to know that I’m happy. You make me happy. How about that breakfast you promised me? Fruit salad and fresh hot cup of coffee sounds rather delicious.”

    Place: Los Angeles, CA – Tina’s house
    Year: Oct. 30, 2005 – Sunday

    “Okay, let’s get ready then,” Tina answered, finally disengaging herself from Bette’s embrace, “Why don’t you take your shower first while I call Alice to be sure she and Dana are coming, okay?”

    “Okay,” Bette replied, “We need to go shopping later too, I can’t wear your clothes all the time.”

    “You don’t like my clothes?” Tina asked, pouting.

    “You look so cute when you pout,” Bette laughed, kissing Tina one more time, “No, I love your clothes but I want to have something of my own…is that okay?”

    “Of course, it’s okay. Now, go and get ready, I’m famished,” Tina gently turned Bette around and pushed her towards the guest bathroom. When Bette closed the door behind her Tina sighed, wishing that she would love to join her in the shower.

    Shaking her head and trying to get rid of the wet and steamy images of the two of them in the shower, Tina dialed Alice’s cell but got her voicemail right away.

    “It’s okay, we always meet there on Sundays…only death could change this tradition and even then it’s not final,” Tina said assuredly and went to her own bedroom to get ready.

    6. I have been in a terrible Post-TLW funk (I know, join the crowd) so have fallen way behind in my fan fic reading. Catching up with your chapters has been a thrill. Tina’s and Bette’s respective leaps of faith are moving and Bette’s tentative steps into the 21st century are so poignant. I love this story’s humor and its incredible inventiveness. I can’t wait for each plot twist and giddily await the next chapter. Sorry I’ve been absent for a few weeks.

    15. Drama, drama, drama…! Wow, that’s interesting… I wonder what Alice found about Bette and what impact it will have. Bette and Tina are really cute together and I love this Bette… Both frightened and eager to know about this 21st century world. It’s endearing to see Tina being jealous of her 19th version! But I also understand her fears. Bette would have every reason to want to go back to her own world, especially with Christina alive in it… Every reason, except the main one… Be with her true love, the one and only Tina Kennard! Now Bette, what will you choose…? Thanks for this update, B&TF. Great as usual, and looking forward to the next one. Cheers, mate! K ;)
