Tina felt the brunette shaking when her hands touched Bette’s skin and asked with concern, “What’s wrong, honey? You’re trembling.”

“I’m afraid,” Bette replied with tears in her eyes.

“What are you afraid of?” Tina gently touched Bette cheeks with her thumb and wiped the tears away.

“I’m afraid that I won’t be able to show you my feelings and you will never know how much I care…”

Tina stopped Bette by crashing onto her lips with a passionate kiss. Bette felt that her tension and anxiety was disappearing just from that one kiss and she welcomed Tina’s lips by pulling her even closer. Their towels were forgotten on the bathroom floor while they were slowly moving towards Tina’s king-size bed.

As soon as they felt the bed behind them, Tina gently lowered Bette onto the silky sheets and began slowly kissing the tender skin on Bette’s neck. She felt her desire building fast and knew that only superhuman power would make her stop tasting and touching Bette’s body. And the throaty moans coming from Bette were not helping with her previous resolve to be patient and wait for both of them to be ready. Tina was on fire and she was intent on keeping it burning all night long.

Tina was placing tender kisses all over Bette’s neck down to her collar-bone, mixing it with occasional licking and nibbling. Slowly tracing her way down to Bette’s breasts, Tina softly kissed each of them before looking at the brunette’s face to make sure that she was okay with this turn of events.

Bette’s eyes were closed and her facial expression was one of excitement and of utmost pleasure. Tina touched Bette’s right breast with her hand and began to rub it, gently at first and then with more passion. She circled her thumb around the hardened nipple and used her mouth to work on Bette’s other breast. Tina teased it with her tongue, moistening the nub and then slowly sucking it.

Her left hand traveled idly to Bette’s taut abdomen and slowed near her navel. Tina began softly circling Bette’s stomach, applying gentle touches to her shivering skin, while still kissing and fondling her breasts.

Bette was running her fingers through Tina’s hair, pulling her closer. That simple caress from Bette ignited Tina’s passion even more and she started slowly grinding herself on Bette’s thigh.

Suddenly, Tina felt Bette’s body stiffened again when her hand slightly brushed over Bette’s hot center. Tina stopped her exploration of Bette’s body and searched her face for an explanation. Bette’s eyes were wide open and Tina immediately saw growing panic and uneasiness in them.

Tina moved closer to Bette’s face and tucked some unruly locks behind her ears. They both were breathing hard and Tina said softly, after taking a deep breath, “Bette, I’m so sorry. I was caught in the moment and I couldn’t stop myself. I know I promised to be patient and I will. I will wait forever for you to be ready.”

“No Tina, I’m sorry. I started the whole thing and I’m really sorry. I…can’t…I…please know that I really enjoyed this and I don’t regret any of it but I can’t overcome this fear that I have…the fear of…” Bette didn’t finish her thought. She couldn’t tell Tina about her fear, not yet.

Pulling Bette closer, Tina said into her neck, “Bette, baby, it’s okay. I’m scared too. Let’s take it one step at a time and see where this journey will take us.”

She felt Bette’s body relaxing and heard her exhale a deep breath, “Thanks, Tee.”

Tina chuckled softly, still amused at Bette’s new nickname for her and snuggled closer to Bette. They slept entangled in each other’s arms until the morning sun awakened them to a new day and a new adventure.
