Tina’s eyes flew wide open in astonishment and excitement. Sure, in her wildest dreams about Bette some cozy bath scenes were definitely included. To hear Bette actually inviting her to relax together in the bath tub was a dream come true. Well, at least one of Tina’s dreams was coming true.

Bette suddenly found the white bathroom tiles fascinating when Tina began undressing and she turned her head back only when she felt the blonde settling behind her in the tub. Bette’s physical reaction to being so close to Tina’s naked body was immediate and overwhelming, but the excitement also brought a feeling of uncertainty. She felt a mixture of desire and panic running through her entire body and reaching her mind.

Physically, it was really comforting to have Tina so close to her, as if she drew some strength and hope from the blonde but emotionally it was still unsettling. Never she had experienced such strong feelings and reactions to anyone…not even to Christina.

Bette closed her eyes so the image of Tina would disappear from her vision but it didn’t help. She could see her with her eyes closed and Bette thought again that it was a gift from the heavens or destiny that the two of them had met. She remained silent, shaken by her intense feelings. Bette’s emotional reaction was also a jumble of thoughts, from blissful joy to anxiety that came from a fear of being inexperienced in love and intimacy.

Tina felt Bette’s body tense and she moved her head closer and kissed Bette’s neck. “Bette, just relax. Nothing is going to happen that you don’t want to happen…we do everything your way.”

“When I kiss you I forget the reason for everything,” Bette said softly and turned her head slightly so she could reach Tina’s lips. Their kiss was tender and slow as if it was their first time.

“Tina, I know I told you to be patient…and I still want you to,” Bette said slowly, unsure of her feelings. “Can I ask you a question?”

“Sure,” Tina replied, cherishing this moment even if nothing else was going to happen tonight.

“How does it feel to be in love? And how do you know the difference before you fell in love with somebody and then after?”
