    Chapter 28, Part 2: Ladies, get in line (Bette and Tina visit the CAC and we meet a few new faces)

     

    “Okay, that’s enough,” Tina said, feeling insanely jealous.

     

    “Yeah, Kennard, go get your woman and don’t forget to watch for Helena Peabody prowling around,” Alice said, enjoying this little drama.

     

    “Shut up Al, I don’t care about Ms. Peabody but it seems like Bette might need some rescuing.”  

     

    Tina hurriedly moved toward Bette and put her arm around Bette’s waist with comfortable ease.

     

    “Oh, Tina,” Bette exclaimed, turning around, “Meet Candace Jewel. This is Tina Kennard. Candace is a carpenter…imagine that…and she and her crew are working to prepare the exhibit for November.”

     

    Tina shook Candace’s hand, noticing how clammy her palms were and finding it difficult to keep her jealousy and anger in check. Candace was beautiful in her own way. Dark skin, thick black hair and full sensual lips, moistened from constant licking.

     

    ‘God, I hate her already,’ Tina thought, taking Bette’s hand and saying calmly, “Nice to meet you, Candace. Your crew is doing a wonderful job at the gallery.”

     

    “Thank you and nice to meet you too…Tina and Bette,” Candace replied in a deep sultry voice, smiling at Bette. Then she turned and stared at Tina, conveying a challenge through her dark eyes.

     

    Tina shuddered involuntarily and suddenly the idea of Bette working here became less and less desirable. She looked at Bette who was still checking out one of the paintings, obviously unaware about this little mind war that was going on between the two women beside her.

     

    “Bette,” Tina finally found her voice. “I think we need to find Mr. Franklin to finish the formalities about your employment here.”

     

    “Okay,” Bette replied happily. “It was nice to meet you, Candace. I will see you around.”

     

    Candace smirked with satisfaction at Bette’s words and it took all of Tina’s will power not to slap her across that grinning face. Tina saw Helena coming towards them, swaying her hips seductively as she walked. Tina smiled briefly and pulled Bette by the hand away from the painting and away from the predators.

     

    They went back to Franklin’s office and closed the door while Candace and Helena were left outside, staring after them with lust and desire.

    1. Whoa…I missed this last night. I went to bed before you posted, but it was a triffic surprise when I got home from work tonight! So, Bette is going to work…will Tina get her a Social Security Number? You little devil…throwing in Candace. Super update and you know what B&TF, if people aren’t reading this story, it is their loss, because it is a great story. It’s haunting like the movie Somewhere in Time.

    2. Hahaha ! ” Tina pulled Bette away from the predators “. This was an excellent chapter, B&TF ! Well done ! I love how you put familiar names and faces in it. And again, I’m really sorry if I haven’t commented on the last few chapters, but I’ve been ourt of town for a couple of weeks and then my internet connection has been down for almost a week… So anyways, let’s just say I’ve only started catching up on my fan fiction reading yesterday. And usual, no matter how many chapters I read in a row, I confess I always want more of this story !! This is how talented you are B&TF !

    4. Maybe Helena and Candace can hook up and leave Bette and Tina alone. Alice is right, both Bette and Tina are hot and anybody in their right mind would find one or both extremely sizzling.

    5. Uh, B$TF [whispering] The last chapter got 4 comments. So 4 is magical,too. Besides, Jennfer Beals luvs you. Nothing else matters !!!! You’ve complicated the plot with Candace and Helena. I guess The Twink and Nadia wouldn’t quite fit the romance. Anyway, I can’t wait for the magical 3 next chapter.
