Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 50, Pt. 2

Teach me to hear mermaids singing,
Or to keep off envy’s stinging,
                And find
                What wind
Serves to advance an honest mind.

If thou be’st born to strange sights,
    Things invisible to see,
Ride ten thousand days and nights,
Till age snow white hairs on thee,

Thou, when thou return’st, wilt tell me,
All strange wonders that befell thee,
                And swear,
                No where
Lives a woman true and fair.

If thou find’st one, let me know,
    Such a pilgrimage were sweet;
Yet do not, I would not go,
Though at next door we might meet,

Though she were true, when you met her,
And last, till you write your letter,
                Yet she
                Will be
False, ere I come, to two, or three.

“Wow…it’s beautiful, baby. Who is the author? It sounds so…familiar,” Tina chuckled, “I think I’m getting Alzheimer’s myself…I can’t remember anything today.”

“It’s a ‘Song’ by John Donne,” Bette replied, laughing with Tina, “So…do you want to try this relaxation exercise?”

“Sure…I’d do anything for you, Bette…you know that…” Tina looked at Bette and smiled, “And your voice is so beautiful and relaxing…I can listen to you day and night. You can read me a telephone book and it would make me happy.”

“I might just try it one day so I can bore you to death,” Bette laughed and then took a deep breath, “Okay…first, I will help you to relax your body and mind and then we’ll play Word Association game…you know it, right?”

“Yeah…it’s when you ask a short question and I have to give you a quick answer, first thing that comes to mind.”

“Exactly,” Bette smiled, “Are you ready?”

“I’m ready if you are,” Tina said nervously but Bette squeezed her hand reassuringly, making the blonde to exhale in relief.

“Lie down,” Bette said gently, helping Tina to make herself comfortable on top of the covers. She sat down on the edge of the bed and took Tina’s hand in hers. She caressed it, helping Tina to relax and feel at ease so they could accomplish what they set out to do.

    1. Bette was always to be with Tina of the present. Christina in the past could not be hers because of her husband, but a child would carry on her love. Tina is that child and now Bette has come to be with her Christina/Tina.

    2. Ha, for a seond there, I thought you were writing about me, but then you said it had nothing to do with “The Silence of the Lambs”, so… LMAO !!! Ok, seriously, this is a truly wonderful story, B&TF and I had not read it when you first posted it so I’m really enjoying it. Can’t wait for more !! You are truly gifted !

    3. I’ve been reading this story for as long as I have been on the site I do not wish for it to end. I like all your stories but this one is special to me.
