Kit : sure sweetie what do you want?
Bette : I need a scotch.
Kit went over to the bar and poured Bette a scotch, handed to her and rubbed her back.
Kit : it will be all right baby girl. You’ll find a solution one way or another, just try to calm down for now.
In the meanwhile Tina walked up to the bar and stood next to Bette.
Tina : hey what’s wrong? You don’t look so good.
Bette : I’ve had it with that woman Tina. We had an argument this morning and I quite and after that she fired me.
Tina : you did what? Bette I told you not to do stupid things. What happened?
Bette : well I have been working my a$$ of all day and night yesterday and she told me this morning my work sucks. I will never be good enough for her Tina, she will always find a damn excuse to criticize my work. So I told her to shove it and I quite, but she said I couldn’t quite so she fired me. Anyway I don’t work at CAC no more.
Tina : I’m sorry Bette. But how could she say your work sucks you are good at what you do. I mean…
Bette : it’s okay Tina don’t worry I hated working there anyway since she took over CAC hasn’t been the same.
Tina : what are you going to do now?
Bette : I don’t know Tina I have to think about it
Tina : why don’t you start your own Gallery again. I know you can do it and with the contacts you have. I’m pretty sure you will be a strong competitor for CAC.
Bette : yeah you’re probably right. I have to think about it, but I like the idea though. Thank you Tina.
Tina : that’s okay, so why don’t you come and sit at our table and relax for a while huh, you need it.
Bette : yeah I need to relax al right but what I don’t need is Alice in my face all of the time and I know she’s going to start asking questions.
Tina : let me take care of that, now come on.
They walk over to their friends table.
Tina : now Al before you are going to say something I’m telling you this. Bette has had a rough morning so I prefer to leave her alone if you don’t mind ok?
Alice : all right all right I haven’t said anything yet. Why is it everyone has to be on my back all the time?
Shane : because you are in people’s lives all the time Al. Are you okay Bette? As she laid her hand on Bette’s knee.
Bette : I’ve had better days Shane but I will be ok just give me a minute.
Shane : sure and if you need someone to talk to I’m here okay.
Bette : yes thanks Shane
Suddenly Bette’s cell phone rang andas she looked at the caller ID she wondered who was on the phone as she didn’t recognize the number.

I agree with skycaptain that tension is to explosive to just be a common i hate that b*tch tension.Who is on the phone Helena, James or Peggy.Post again soon. =)
ooooo the tension is just palpable! this is great thoug i had to scrunch my face while B and H fought!heheh but i love it ‘coz i know you guys are working towards a HOT resolution! post sooon yeah?
Love the alphaness of Bette and the somehow slightly softer side of Helena. But they are both definitely strong willed women, and that’s really great. I don’t trust Tina, she’s like a hawk, think she is playing only a role to get the big prize with one of them. Who’s on the phone girls, second chapter and the cliffhangers are already there. Well, great story stick your heads together and come up with the next one pretty soon. Thanks for sharing this nice story.
As much as I love the Belena stories this one is really troubling. They truly hate and disrespect each other. If they end up being sexual. It will be hot with all the anger but this will not be a lasting love. I see them in a scratching, hair pulling wrestling match pretty soon
I hope its Peggy wanting to help Bette start a gallery again. Lets give Helena a run for her money. and keep her away from Bette so she and Tina can remain friends Just dont let it become sexual between them {Helena and Bette. thanks
i rarely judge book by its cover but i do it alot by its title and this title and the way the story is going suggests a lot..unless, B&T will begin hating each other suddenly and then fall in love again…but like lamentamini said, i’m keeping an open mind for now ;)

…tsk…tsk…Belena you are doing it…you are going with the tension between Bette and Helena…I think you’re gonna make it sexual tension. I think right now…you have Bette and Tina in a friendship…yes Bette cares about the baby but you don’t have her pining after Tina in a “I love her more than life we have to be together” way…but you have Helena & Bette’s tension so thick they will end up on a desk at the CAC…I can just feel it. I could be wrong…but you have me gunshy and suspicious. Please post soon.
