    Paradise Found-Chapter 11

    Chapter 11

Jodie is pacing back and forth in kitchen of her house.  She just heard the news about Bette’s accident.  Does it have anything to do with Amy sneaking in as a member of the wait staff?  She had no idea Amy was going to be there….and didn’t see her until she saw her leaving.  God!  Did that bitch have anything to do with hurting Bette?  But why would Amy give a shit about Bette?  They didn’t even know each other…did they?  Jodie was beside herself with conflict and worry.  What the fuck is going on??

Sam is leaving the 6th rental agency that she visited.  She has the name and a copy of the driver’s license of the man driving the car that hit Bette.  LeBum Johns.  The young lady behind the desk also had Sam’s number. She promised to call when he turned the car back in.  Until that happened, Sam was on her way to one of her contacts in the police department.  She needed to find out if the guy had a record and the names of any known associates.  She also wanted to know if they police were investigating this as anything other than a traffic accident.

There are pros and cons to having the police involved in her investigation.  Since she’s not an officer, she doesn’t need search warrants or any of the other necessities that come with being ‘official.’  She decides to tell them about Denbo and restraining order that Bette and Tina have against her.  The police can do their investigation and she’ll do hers.

Hopefully, she would have something good to report to Uncle Will.  God help whoever did this, because William Kennard was not a happy man right now.

Tina had pulled a chair over to Bette’s bedside and they were sitting together holding hands and watching the freak show that was daytime television.

“How are you, Angelica and Zachary feeling now, baby?  Is your back any better?  Do you still feel lightheaded?”

“Porter, you’re in bed with broken bones, sprains and a concussion…and you’re asking about me?  Our children and I are fine.  I just needed some juice and something to eat.  It was a long night. Now concentrate on yourself.”

    1. I’m just so glad that Sam, Tinas’ dad and Peggy are on top of this and will take the necessary steps to correct it and put whomever (denbo) is behind this stuff behind bars for a very long time. Or better yet make her presence in the world a minus and permanently. Great update. Thanks for posting.

    2. loved this… and i’m not into all of this basketball stuff… so use what ever name you want… lol… love how sam is handling this… also love that tina has a family in your story… pps

    3. I love that Peggy is going to get a bigger bed for them. In referance to Labron, you have a right to name your characters what ever you want because this is fiction, but blaming the basketball players for all of the media around the free agent deal is like blaming actors for the paparazzi. PPS.

    4. I really love your story. While the media hype was way over the top, LeBron has a right to go anywhere as a free agent. The media hype just shows you what our country deems important. If no one watched, it wouldn’t be on TV.
