Planet Terror: The One With Strip Poker

For the second time that night, Bette helped Helena out of her clothes. Most of their wounds were healed, except for a few sore spots. They crawled into bed again, huddling close, saying little.

“I love you…” Bette murmured against Helena’s hair. “Please be more careful…”

“I’m sorry, I don’t know what happened. It was like I was being drawn into the fog.” Helena reached with her hand up and across to Bette’s face, feeling her lips in the dark. She lay with her head in the crook of Bette’s neck and shoulder.

    The clock read 4:30am.

“This is the world’s longest night.” Bette said. Helena nodded, feeling for the bruises that had replaced bullet wounds. They lay naked this time, unwilling to go to the trouble to dress.

“I’m not tired.” Helena whispered. “I want you.” Sometimes simple language was enough.

Bette felt tears leak from the corner of her eyes as she tipped her head back, her neck heated by Helena’s lips.  Helena’s fingertips wiped away the moisture, soothing Bette and bringing her back again.

Bette pulled Helena up by the back of her head, gently but insistently pressing so that their kiss could be deepened. Bette moved Helena against the sheets, lay on top of her, and used her mouth to ease the stress evident in her body.

When the sun rose, they still made love, Bette’s fingers deep within Helena, who arched and spread herself with her back against the bed. Bette was breathless and warm enough to kick off blankets and sheets, her thigh moving upward and against the back of her hand.

Helena actually laughed as she tried to speak, encouraging Bette. “Right…there…” Her mouth opened in a smile as she bit her lower lip. “This is…so…good…jeeeesus….” Helena’s hips rocked against Bette’s hand faster, as she felt Bette’s thumb moving in hard circles around her clit.

Bette grinned against her neck. “Just what we needed, hmmm?” She whispered as her mouth rose to Helena’s ear, licking and sucking her earlobe. “If this is what forever looks like..”

“oh god…” Helena came hard, soundlessly arching further, her hands in fists gripping the pillow behind her head. She came back down to earth, laughing suddenly. “Then sign me up? Is that what you were going to finish with? Omigod, you’re so cute and so cheesy.” She pulled Bette back up to her, “No more…I can’t take anymore…at least not for a few moments.”

“We should go take a shower. We should have before.” Bette fell into a light sleep, this goal forgotten, as Helena stroked her back. When she awoke an hour later, Helena’s mouth pressed against her inner thigh.

“your turn.” Helena said with a grin, looking up at her.

They only had a couple of days until all hell broke loose. Somewhere in their minds, they thought they might as well make the best of whatever time they had left.

    1. Uh-oh, that last line sounds ominous. If you’re taking votes, put me down for the Eternity-for-Belena option. I’m sure 99% of your readers mentally beat Helena to the punch before she uttered the sentence, “Jenny’s never been normal.” Two posts in one day: lovely!

    2. Rufus, I thought the same re: Jenny. I swear when Bette leaped the fence, I could actually *hear* that little noise they used to play when Steve Austin would do something that cost $6million (price not adjusted for inflation). Just what exactly was in their “cure” if their skin swallows bullets? And that fog, what gives? Are there like, vapors of hypnotic drugs in them, or like, zombie aspirate? (Wait, do zombies breathe?) I always have loads of questions… (I need answers tho!) And that bit near the end, their “forever” looks pretty damned good. I most certainly do not, however, like the idea of all hell breaking loose, because I’m rather attached to all the girls. Thank you, hb, for another excellent chapter.

    3. Two posts in one day?! Awesome! I think you’ve got the ominous part down sweetie, that’s for damn sure. If that is truly forever…bring on some zombies and let them chew on me and then give me a cure thingy and let me live forever with a hottie like Bette or Helena…great chapter…pps

    4. Too bad the cure didn’t allow Helena to grow her leg back, but I guess the line got drawn at old wounds. Sort of like with she and Peggy. OK, enough philosophising. But somehow Peggy doesn’t seem like a lasagna kind o’ gal. Guess Shane wasn’t invited to the shindig-no raw steak. I do like that Peggy’s taking advantage of her second chance with Chamomile, and as kids go, she’s rather likable. Another ominous finish, hb; and more contact with the zombies. Speaking of, it seems, what with Helena’s little stroll in the fog, that if the infection/cure made them physically stronger, it hasn’t made them any smarter. Are we sure they just aren’t on steroids? Are B & H psychically linked with the zombies now? If so they should try to use the power against the little stinkers.

    5. I have to agree with funnyone I to was hoping for Helena to regain her leg, but who knows it can still happen. Because you do have the power and we know you are not afraid to use it. Excellent update!
