    3 Weeks Back

Tina had gotten as far as Sweetwater before she pulled over to take a break. She found a small airport, she needed to rest her mind. She’d been driving for a while with a 1,001 thoughts all coming to her all at once. Tina parked the car at the end of the airfield and cried she buried her face into her hands as the heat from the emotions set her face and body ablaze. She got out and sat on the hood. It wasn’t until the roar of an airplane landing near by that she realized she missed having her brother with her more than she thought. She missed doing this with her brother, both of them being the youngest in the family their bond was stronger than the others. He and Tina had developed their own secret language and secret hiding spots where they would sometimes spend hours together. When they got older some days they would sit together at some airfield and watch as the planes took off. It was then that they would share secrets and fears, it was there she learned that her brother had bigger dreams than the small city of Jackson. She wished he was here right now that way she could talk to him and hear his voice again feel his warm body embrace and reassure her of his love for her. She loved how he only embraced her when she came out to him and asked her if she knew where the mustard was in refrigerator. She laughed at the memory it was the small things that he did that always made her feel so loved.

After he died racing his friend’s car she spent three years restoring this car to the pristine condition it was supposed to be in when he was going to race it. She remembered crying to Bette all month, and how she was there the whole way through for her. The way she made her get up and move during the day and the way she slowly coaxed her to eat something. Those days when all she needed was her friend to get through even the toughest times in her life seemed so far away. She cried again harder finding herself completely and utterly lonely for the first time in days.

    1. Ok, I know I’m tired, so maybe I’m just not seeing properly…you did not really just leave it like that??….I feel like saying “An den?” (for those that may not remember or know, referencing “Dude, Where’s My Car?” with that – I know, terrible, but it’s what sprang to mind)….I can’t wait for tomorrow night so we can find out what happened “Later That Night!” ;)

    2. Oh great! TYou’re finally back. Congrats on the new job that you LOVE! Isn’t that just wonderful, to actually love going to work?!! Speaking of which, I’d better do some since that’s where I am. =) Glad to have you back!
