Shhh… Don’t Tell Anyone Part.16
After the meeting with Carmen’s mom Shane had a very important thing to do, she was going to meet her dad, he had called her up two weeks a go and they had agreed to meet each other. Shane was seriously thinking about not going, she didn’t really needed to meet her father she was ok without him, and when she actually needed him he wasn’t there so, what was the point? Just as she was about to walk away, this older looking grey haired guy walked up to her.
– Shane? Is that you? – Asked the guy smiling, she could’ve said no, but…
– Yeah, are you Gabe? – The guy just nodded and they both walked into the dinner. As they started talking Shane realized just how much they had in common, neither of them liked to be asked questions, both players for a long time, both had lost a dear friend, she knew that it was him the one that named her.
After a long talk Gabe asked Shane to have diner with him and his family so that she could meet her brother and his wife. She felt weird about it but agreed to it since she knew now what it was to have a family, to be a mom and trying to be a good partner for Carmen, she thought that she could learn a few things from her reformed father. So she went and met her half brother and her father’s wife, they talked and she told them about the wedding with Carmen, and actually invited them, she thought it would be nice to have them there and have her son to meet his grandfather.
Once she had left her dad’s house se took a cab and went to “The Planet”, she saw a lot of familiar faces there, she ordered a beer and watched, she noticed that she had been replaced, the new heartthrob was like looking at herself in the mirror except for the blue eyes and the crazy looking hair, she smiled at herself thinking “Did I really looked like that?” After three more beers and some good laughs she walked out of the place she spent so many time hanging out in, and went to check out how her old place looked like, she saw Bette and Tina’s house and countless memories came back to her, she had proposed to Carmen in there, and she had fallen for her in the house next door, and she missed it, she missed her family a lot, mostly she wanted her son to grow up with them around, so she pulled out her cell phone and made a few calls.
