    Author Notes:

    What is going on between Helena and Bruce? Bette makes her move to move on even if means leaving Metropolis and Kate has a chance to redeem herself

    Bette: No

    Alice: Bette you need a social life

    Bette: I don’t want a social life Al

    Shane: Bette come on you’ve been working non-stop and sleeping on your couch you need to get out of this place

    Dana: Shane’s right Bette you need to have a good time and who better to spend it with then your friends

    Alice: You’re getting way too thin Bette

    (This was becoming tedious to Bette; it had been like this for the past two weeks. She was getting irritated by her friends’ actions)

    Alice: It’s obvious you haven’t been eating

    Shane: You’re making yourself ill

    Dana: Please Bette we’re trying to help you

    (That was the last straw. Bette couldn’t control her anger and irritation anymore)

    Bette: I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP! I DON’T NEED YOU, I NEED THE ONE PERSON WHO ISN’T HERE AND WILL NEVER BE AGAIN!

    (The trio look at each other and gulp hard, they had never seen Bette so angry)

    Bette: I DON’T WANT TO GO HOME BECAUSE ALL I SEE IS TINA! EVERYWHERE I LOOK I SEE TINA! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH AND DON’T ASSUME YOU DO BECAUSE YOU DON’T!

    (Alice glances at Shane then at Dana, who grips her hand. They had tipped Bette over the edge with their constant nagging)

    Bette: I JUST WANNA BE LEFT ALONE, SO GET THE HELL OUT OF MY OFFICE AND STAY OUT OF MY LIFE!

    (Alice can feel the tears threatening, she lets go of Dana’s hand and runs out of Bette’s office. Dana follows. Shane shakes her head)

    Shane: Tina would cringe at what you’ve become

    (Bette doesn’t flinch. Shane walks out of the office closing the door behind her. Bette picks up her favourite picture of Tina as Supergirl, stands from her desk and walks over to the window. She had cut the final ties to her life in Metropolis. She was leaving and she wasn’t coming back)

    Bette: (looks at Tina’s picture) I will never forget Tee but I need to let you go (looks up at the sky and sighs heavily) I can’t stay in this place and not see you everywhere; in the bullpen, on the street, up in the skies (looks back at the picture) I will always love you Tee there is no one else for me and never will be
