“I know Kit, I know…I think I realize that now, but it still hurts to know that neither I nor this baby couldn’t make her change her mind”

“It’s going to be ok Bette, I promise you’re not alone, I’m here the girls are here for you I promise, you or the baby will never be alone.”

Bette continued to sob, as she held on to Kit tighter.

“I’m going to be an auntie” Kit chuckled

Bette couldn’t help but smile

“Yeah Auntie Kit” Bette said

“Do you realize you’re going to be a mommy, momma B…and I have no doubt that just like everything else Bette you’re going to be great, I have all the faith in the world in you, oh my God Bette… a baby"

Kit rubbed Bette back as she continued to hold her

"You really need to relax all this crying can’t be good for you in your condition, how far along are you?”

Bette smiled again…

“Six weeks”

Kit hugged Bette

“Congratulations, baby sis I know you’re going to be a great mom I just know it.”

Bette pulled back and smiled

“You think so?"

"I know so, come on have I ever lied to you?"

"Thanks Kit”

“How are you feeling, any morning sickness?”

“I’m fine, and no, no morning sickness I mean I just found out today I was pregnant, I had a visit with Dr. Wilson this morning”

“Are you going to be ok, Bette I mean doing this on your own? Are you ready to be a single mom?”

Bette took a deep breath

“I guess I have to be…I want this baby Kit, I just found out that I’m pregnant and I already love it…so much” Bette said

“You have to be strong Bette, you need to rest, do you want me to drive you home?”

Be shook her head no.

"I can’t go there tonight, I can’t be there right now, especially if she’s still there"

“You want to stay here tonight?” Kit asked

Bette nodded

“Ok come on” Kit led Bette to the guest room

“You go wash up I’m going to get you something to sleep in”

Bette sat on the bed waiting for Kit looking down at her hands she wondered, how things had gotten so out of control.

“Here you go Bette” Kit handed Bette a pair of sweats and a T-shirt.

“Thanks Kit” Bette softly said

Kit took a seat next to Bette on the bed.

“It’s going to be ok baby sis I promise I know things feel bad right now, but I promise things will get better you’ll see…I’m a strong believer that things like this happen for a reason…God dealt you these cards for a reason…I know things are only going to get better you’ll see, if you and Jodie weren’t meant to be, that only means that your soul mate is still out there somewhere waiting for you to find her”

Bette let out a chuckle

“Soul mate…I don’t think I believe in such a thing Kit…not anymore but thanks for saying that… it’s a nice thought.” Bette took Kit into an embrace.

“You’ll see, I know about these things” Kit smiled as she held on to Bette tighter.
