“Obviously my next question…was she your first lover?”
“Yep—that same night. We went back to our room and spent the whole night making love. It was really magical. We were together until we graduated and then went to separate schools. She was my first love.”
“Any other loves after her?”
“That’s number…”
“Eight—yeah, yeah.”
“I dated after Kristin but nothing serious until my senior year of college. I fell head over heels for my art professor. We had a brief affair, but she ended it on the premise that I was too young and all that BS. I realized that after we went our separate ways that I wasn’t really in love with her, just enthralled. And since then there’s been no one who captured my heart. I mean, of course I dated, but I just didn’t find anyone that made my heart race like a certain blonde I just met.”
“Hmm, I’ll have to meet this blonde and tell her you’re mine.”
“I think that could be arranged.”
“Exactly how many women have you been with? That’s your ninth question by the way.”
Bette tensed up a little at this question. Should she tell Tina how many women she’s been with and risk scaring her away? But if this is what she wants it to be, they have to start out being honest. She took a deep breathe before answering.
“Wow, you’re hesitation must mean it’s a pretty big number.”
“Tina, I won’t lie that I’ve been with a lot of women, but you have to believe me that meeting you yesterday meant the end of my “player days.” I only want to belong to you.”
“Player days? Okay, so how many women is a ‘lot’ of women? Are we talking about 20, 30, 40?”
Bette was silent.
“Bette, are we talking about more than 40 women you’ve slept with?”
Slowly Bette nodded her head.
“I’m trying not to freak out here, so please just tell me the number so we can deal with it and move on.”
Bette closed her eyes, she couldn’t look at Tina when she told her the number.
“Around 150.”

Wow. This chapter was really cool because it kind of threw me. It wasn’t stuff I expected. I’d say thats definitely a good thing. PPS.
Great chapter. That last question really caught me off guard. I would think Bette would have proposed in a more romantic fashion, but when the time is right, you may as well jump in with both feet! Now you have to post very soon Kirby because I need to hear T’s answer!
