    The big deal

    Chapter I

Dana was driving down the street and last sunset lights were caressing her shoulders and arms. She was silent and unusually sad. Alice was next to her in the car, looking for some good music on the radio. Her sunglasses on, defending her from sun and from feelings.

“There is just crap on air today! I wonder where I should go listening to that music!” Alice insisted tuning, but nothing seemed to be fixed today.

Dana didn’t answer and no the bad music, nor the anger of Alice reached her mind.

“Hallo Dane! Are you here or what? I really wonder why you decided to come with me if you are so annoyed to be here!” Alice stopped her research for an appropriate song and shouted loudly in order to gain Dana’s attention.

“Sorry Al… I’m not annoyed to be with you! I’m just thinking… my mind is travelling a lot these days!” Dana talked with a soft voice which couldn’t avoid Alice’s understanding. She looked at Alice rapidly, but intensively hoping she could have enough of that poor explanation.

“Well, I can totally see it! What’s going on Dane?” the blond was seriously worried about her friend and as usual she couldn’t give up asking.

“Alice… I need some privacy sometime…” Dana tried to be sweet and didn’t mean to hurt the writer in any way, but the result of her phrase was the opposite.

“I can’t believe it! I mean… when we become friends again we sweared to be honest to each other… always! You know perfectly how hard it was passing through all that sadness and hurting and lies and disbelief! The only way we could find to be near again is talking honestly!” Alice was worried and nervous, tears started to wet her eyes without dropping. She worked so hard to forgive everything and to understand how important Dana was for her even as a friend, but sometimes she couldn’t stop being over reactive.

“Al, please… I didn’t intend to be harsh. I’m a bit sad and I really don’t know if you are the best person to talk with… I mean… I don’t want to hurt you in anyhow. Believe me, please!” Dana was sincere and tried to let her friend understand it.
