The Canvas of Our Life…Ch 8

    Meanwhile across the dance floor.

Alice grabbed Dana’s hips and began to move with her. She suddenly felt fuzzy as the alcohol began to have it’s effect. She pulled Dana closer to her and began to look into her eyes intensely. Dana debated on questioning Alice‘s strange behavior but soon attributed it to the strong drink she had moments before. Alice maintained her intense stare until Dana’s eyes met hers. Alice moved her hands up Dana’s back resting them on her arms and placing her hands around her face.

“DanaI need to tell you something.”

“Al can this wait, I can barely hear you out here!”

“NO I need to tell you now. Dana(She leaned in to Dana’s ear nearly touching it with her lips) I love you. I’ve loved you for a long time. I can’t hold it in anymore, I.”

Dana pulled back and looked into Alice‘s eyes. “It’s about time, I thought you’d never say it!

Dana pulled a very shocked Alice to her lips and kissed her with the desperation of a secret love revealed. Alice immediately melted into her arms and pulled her closer as the whole world spun around them time seemed to stand still.

“I love you too” Dana whispered into Alice‘s ear.

Bette smiled at Alice who was looking around the room for her. Bette motioned Alice a thumbs up as Dana pulled Alice in for another kiss.

“I didn’t know that they were together,” Tina said to Bette.

“Well they weren’t until just now! Alice must have found the courage somewhereprobably in the Vodka!”

“Wow really! Good for them! Hmm, I bet they wish they were anywhere but here!”

“Oh there’ll be plenty of time for that. We’re here to have fun tonight!”

They danced to one more song before deciding to take a break to have a drink. They walked to the bar and Bette looked for a bartender at the over-crowded bar to order a drink. Tina stood off to the side as a very attractive brunette locked eyes with her from across the bar. Tina shyly looked down when she realized that the woman was looking at her. The brunette made her way to Tina who tried desperately not to look up. However, this woman was very beautiful and Tina had not seen so many attractive lesbians in her entire life.
