The wedding is three weeks away and all of the plans and finer details have now been ironed out.

‘Bette, I’m gonna go over to my parent’s house tomorrow and tell them about us’

 Tina said while they were snuggling on the floor watching television.

‘Are you sure you’re ready babe?’

‘As ready as I’ll ever be, they deserve to know and anyway I want them there for the wedding’

‘Okay, do you want me to come with you?’

‘I think I need to do this on my own, but thanks for offering’ Tina replied.

‘Okay, when you get back I want to know all the details’

‘Naturally’

The next day Tina gets in her car and heads off to her mum and dad’s house.

She is trying to take her mind off the reason she is visiting her parents and so puts on her car stereo.

She finds that there is a tape in there which is unusual because she always listens to the radio, she decides that Bette must have put it in there when she borrowed her car because the Saab was getting blacked out windows fitted.

She listened to the first song ‘you are so beautiful’ and then the second song ‘you’re beautiful’ by the time the third song started she realized that Bette had obviously made this mixed tape for Tina because it was all her favourite love songs, she couldn’t stop smiling as she sang along with Take That to ‘a million love songs’ at the top of her voice.

When she got there she was suitably relaxed.

She had called the night before and made sure that both her parents would be at home in anticipation of her arrival.

She knocked on the door and walked in shouting ‘Hey, mum, dad where are you guys?’

‘Aww hello Tina, how are you sweetheart?’ her mother greeted her with open arms.

‘Hello Christina’ her father nodded in her direction at the arrival of his daughter.

‘Hey dad’ Tina smiled before leaning down to kiss his cheek while he remained in his armchair.

‘Mum, why don’t you sit down because I have something important I want to tell you guys’ Tina took a deep breath.
