The Gathering 01.41 – How Do We Deal Pt 5 – Eternal Lies

“I was part of this ***** duo too Sam.  I’m as much to blame as you are.  I started it.”  Tina said.

“I should have ended it before it started!  You’ve been memory-less for weeks.  I took full advantage of it…”  Tina bolted up and covered Sam‘s mouth with her own, and Sam pulled away.

“Tee…”  She sighed the pain in her eyes was almost to much for Tina to bear. “I can’t, you were my friend so is Bette I can’t believe I did this.”  Lamented the ***** tomboy.

“See!  If you had been running with a full deck you would have stopped it.  I wouldn’t have.  So I’m to blame.”  Tina said grabbing a tee shirt next to the bed, finding it was one of Sam‘s and putting it on anyway.

“What?”  Sam said childlike suddenly.  She was fighting the after effects of it all the drugs the alcohol and the *****, oh god they’d had *****.  *****.

“If we’d been sober I’d have kissed you last night.  Just like the night of the CAC party, after at your place.  In bed.  I wanted to kiss you, but I knew you wouldn’t.  So I took advantage of you.  Ok, I’m admitting it.  We said we had a crush on each other.  I remember that Sam, that odd conversation.  I was more comfortable with you than I was with Bette.  I do love her, I know that.  I think I just wanted a taste of whatever it was you have that managed to settle Shane down after all this time of woman hopping.  I needed you, last night.”  Tina confessed, looking into Sam‘s eyes.  Sam blinked.

“What are we going to do?”  Sam said, throwing herself back onto the floor in desperation.

    *****

“My baby is coming home today.”  Shane said as she sat down with Bette and Lara at the Planet and they both grinned.

“You’d think she’d been gone for a week.  It’s been a day.”  Lara said with a smile, who’d have thought it, Shane.  Nesting.

“I can’t wait to tell her about the little extra from Earthlings.  In the back of her car no less, ***** hot man.”  Bette scoffed thinking it was sick to cheat.  Oh who is judging now Bette?  The thought came from her guilty mind, the voice sounding like her own, but with a sarcasm Bette hardly used.  She sighed she had done it.  At least they were up front about it.

    1. Childish! Childish and irresponsible! Totally childish and irresponsible!Bette made a mistake, so everyone has an excuse to make their own mistakes? That’s ridiculous and illogical. Be-cheated should be made up by cheating? I think it’s Tina, rather than Bette has more to figure out.End of rant.

    2. This is fiction, right? Then why am I so blue. They’re just harmless words linked into phases, but why does my heart say it’s true? As it sobs, leaving pools of regret from angst and love cast to the wind. Because with hope and glee, I and we…have given our TiBette hearts to J Marie. Tina was faking that whole memory loss thing so she could take out her pain (under the radar) in the least constructive way possible. Real smart, Tina!! “…I love you…more than before, ha!! Now, for real, this was all a terrible, tasteless joke, right Sunshine.

    3. In a way I can’t really blame Tina…Wait yes I can damn it! What the fuck was she thinking? It really shouldn’t have been with Sam. I know Shane kinda understood, but still… I know Bette cheated on Tina too, but really…I would be pissed off too. Wait till she founds out who Tina was *schtuping* (yes still love the word), all hell will break loose then. And yes, I’m sure she will find out, one way or the other. Also, I’m right about my assumptions between Dana and Jayden. Not sure about Al and Lara yet. Awesome chapter again J!

    4. To cheat on someone you love,is a little different Than cheating for payback. Guessing that is what Tina did, will Bette be able to handle this, dont think so thanks bvh

    5. O.K. I’m not as upset as everyone else. Granted, being cheated on doesn’t justify cheating, but concerning Tina it was inevitable. Sam seems extremely regretful because its a friend from their group who she’ll be running into everyday. Loved Shane’s reaction.
