She’d died she’d ceased to exist in this moment and time.
“Tina…” Tina turned and saw Shane, visibly shaken.
“I really died? I died, like gone from this earth died?” Tina nodded, sitting back down next to Shane as Shane began to cry, not just for herself, but for anyone else she might have hurt with her stupid actions.
“Tee I’m so sorry I scared you like that…”

“I have to go see Bette.” It was morning and Sam had slept on the couch, not wanting Shane and Tina to be alone in case something happened during the night. Sam nodded; she’d known this was coming.
“So go see her, you have some unfinished business to attend too Tina, I’ll be here until Shane kicks me out. Or the hospital calls, you have my cell phone number. Go to her.” Sam said, and Tina kissed her on the lips, hard. And Sam watched her walk away, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
“Here’s to hoping that their business is soon finished.”

Bette sat at her desk; she was not really into the work, pushing around the papers. She grimaced, putting her forehead on the desk, feeling the coolness of the wood. She lifted her head up and down, letting it drop onto the desk in a soft, thud, thud. She was waiting for a phone call, Bette wanted to be with Tina, holding her, kissing her, loving her. Tina would have none of that, oh no. She had Sam now. The wonderful, life saving, tomboy, rich doctor.
Bette‘d showered, changed but hadn’t slept. She rubbed her sleep deprived eyes when she heard a soft knock on the door, she put her forehead back on the desk and muttered.
“Come on in, train stops here.” She felt almost giddy, she put it off to the lack of sleep. She looked up, her mouth gapping open.
“Candace…”
Candace, she’d just appeared out of no where and there she was, standing in front of her, as ***** as she’d ever been. Bette pulled in a sharp breath, meeting Candace‘s eyes and seeing the lust that had been there since the moment that they’d met.
