“Ever fucked with a Doctor?”  Sam said her voice harsh and calculated.  He narrowed his eyes, not knowing who she was.  One of Shane‘s ***** friends he was sure.  Tina moved over and pulled Shane away from Steven.

            “Who the ***** are you?”  Sam didn’t answer, instead her hand shot up and grabbed his windpipe, and squeezed, just enough for him to realize how serious she was. 

            She used her hips to slam him into the bar and her knee shot up and hit him in the groin, Steven doubled over, but Sam held him up by the throat.  A hard look from her and he stopped struggling, convinced that she could kill him.

            “Doctors are fun, see we know how everything works.  How you need the windpipe to carry oxygen to your lungs, to feed that pea sized brain of yours.  How to put everything back together again, but that means we know how to take it apart too.  My role model is Doctor Frankenstein.”  Marina had rushed over, begging with her eyes for Sam to stop whatever this was.  The young doctor seemed to have quite the temper.

            “You come anywhere near Shane again…” She stopped, pulling him close to her, her lips at his ear so that no one heard what she was whispering.  “And I won’t hurt you; I’ll slowly torture your family that you say you cherish so, while you watch.  I see you anywhere near me, or anyone Shane knows and I’ll ruin your family and your business, then I’ll do the Inquisition thing, are we clear?”  Steven shook, meeting Sam‘s icy stare.

            “Yes.”  He whined, not able to take in breath.

            “Good, crystal clear?  You have to the count of three to be out of my site.  Forever.”  She released her grip on his throat and he stumbled, rushing from the caf.

            “Are you insane, this is my place of business Sam!”  Marina berated her, not knowing what was going on, not caring.  All she cared was that Shane was all right, and wasn’t to upset by what that jerk had just told her.

            “Are you ok?”  Sam asked Shane, pulling her close and hugging the shaken woman.  Tina caressed her lower back.  The ice had thawed quickly and Sam was herself again.  Sam was scared beyond belief, but she didn’t show it, she rode out the adrenalin rush like she did in the ER.
