The Gathering 01.73 – Turbulence Part 2 – Enigma’s Cloak
Bette had gathered everyone around one of the huge round tables next to the large windows of the ball room. Shane was feeling better she had told them all what had happened in her quiet and husky voice. Every last one of them was exhausted but none of them thought they could get much sleep right now after the chaotic events of the evening and early morning.
Lara, Jayden, Dana, Alice, Kit, Marty, Bette, Tina, Marina, Jenny and Sam sat with Shane as the staff brought out their breakfast and they all drank mimosas from the tall elegant glasses. Brian and Justin had flown off with Mel and Lindsay and Gus who was cooing about his new little sister and Gardner had seemingly disappeared into the woodwork. Everyone was still in their evening attire except for Sam who was wearing an ‘X-Men’ tee shirt because the one she’d been wearing had been soaked with blood and as Shane put it baby goo.
“How did she get here Samantha?” Bette asked picking at the fresh orange that Tina had pushed in front of her. Urging her to eat and she did. Tina was playing the mother to them all her maternal instinct was in high gear after being close to the birth of a new life into this world.
“We don’t know but I’m willing to bet she heard about Shane getting hitched to a doctor and … Well I don’t know. I just don’t ***** know.” Sam said her voice cold again and Shane kissed her softly. She hated the way Sam sounded when she was riddled with anger. “Yet.” Sam answered with a steely glare.
“Why is it a bad thing that your mother is back in town?” Marina asked sipping the drink in front of her. Jenny was leaning against her kissing her exposed shoulder and Marina smiled, smoothing Jenny‘s soft hair.
“Because the last time she was in town I ended up in juvie and had to run to the streets to get away from it, I ran my ***** right into a world of different trouble.” Shane said in a soft whisper and the table grew silent again.

Tibetters, we all know we are on a roller coaster ride…just having made it to the summit, now cruisin’ with the wind raking smooth patterns through our hair….clearing our minds of wandering doubts. We feel euphoric and silently hope against hope that the next blind turn is smooth… whish…..whish…oh a few bumps, we expect…and we can recover….Yet, in the back of our minds..we know it’s comin’…it’s coming…whish……The breath taking plummet then the twists and turns that pull involuntary screams from the back of our throats. Ah, but truthfully many of us love it…because we know we will arrive safely home, the brake will catch (love will save the day), the harness will be released and we will arrive in TiBette land happy and satisfied..sigh. Now, can that happen with J as the conductor? Well, let’s see…ladies put on your harnesses!!
I hope Alice gets it out of her system and quick. But..I wouldn’t really mind if it happened again lol. I really Kit & Marty together, they are cute together. Still don’t like Shane’s mom, I hope me having beaten the crap out of her, that she’ll still lies somewhere between two dumpster where I left her. But honestly, I did not expect this reaction from Sam, although she’s got a point. Let’s just leave it to Shane to deal with it!

Leave it to Alice to be the one to try to decipher the actions of another in a foursome. (Let it go Alice!). Glad Kit’s in a steady relationship. Shane don’t try to get to know your mom, she’s a gold digger.
