    Author Notes:

    Tina gets a disturbing phone call from Brian – Bette and Kit talk – Sam and Shane get interrupted from their Honeymoon – Dana and Alice aren’t as strong as they wish they were – Jayden stands up to her Dad when he attacks Lara –

     

                “Where else would I ever want to be?”  Sam smiled and sighed, falling asleep in Shane‘s strong arms.

                “Are you all ready for tomorrow?”  Alice asked, seeing the suitcase packed and Dana nodded, her hands in constant motion in her lap.  Nothing on earth could stop her from going through this operation; yet she was scared beyond reason.

     

                “As ready as I’m ever going to be.  Sure some guy is going to slice my back open and play with a few nerves, and ***** I might never walk again, I’m ready for that.  Sure.”  Dana stammered and Alice sat on the couch next to Dana, holding her close.

     

                “Dana, Hon you are going to be alright.  Is Jayden going to be there too?  I heard her say that you had asked her…” Alice drifted off and Dana saw that now familiar pang of jealousy waffle into her eyes.

     

                “I asked her, yeah I did.  I thought, you know, her being a nurse and all.  She’s been my rehab nurse since the beginning; I just thought it would be a smart thing to do.”  Dana cleared her throat and Alice sighed every so softly.

     

                “Well, yeah that she is.  I think it’s a good idea, you know because everyone you love should be there.  I can see why you’d want her there, she being smart and all.”  Alice stammered; and Dana looked into her eyes, grabbing her and kissing her.

               

                “I love you!  Only you, that’s it!  You swore that it would stay on the island Alice.  I haven’t mentioned it because it’s like it never happened.  Why can’t you just deal with that?  I have.  You’re the one that’s been there and done that!  I haven’t, and…   And…”  Alice felt hurt, she tried not to cry, but the sight of Lara and Dana kissing again was an image she was having a hard time with.

     

                “I never want to deny you anything Dane.  I’m sorry; I just want you to concentrate on getting better.  All the other stuff can wait until then.”  Alice said in a soft caring voice.

     

                “I know, so we’ll deal with anything else after wards, ok?”  Dana said, getting up and heading off to bed, not asking if Alice was coming or not.

    1. First of all. Merry X-Mas Janet!!!! May all your wishes come true!Now for my comments hehehe. I’m so sorry to hear that Brian may have a lifethreatening disease and feel even more sorry that Sam has to go through yet again a tough ordeal. Way to go, Jayden!!! It’s good she stood up to her father and I hope her father will come to his senses and except Jayden for who she is. Very good again J, thanks!!

    2. Well,It about 10 here and I,m going to catch up on my reading Brian did go to the Dr, Sam is on the way and she will help him a lot. All the guest are gone food put away ,what took two wks to wrap was undone in minutes and I’m tired. Happy what is left of Christmas and make all your wishes come true. thank bvh
