    Bette and Tina sit with the Captain and several officers of her unit, discussing the recent events in excruciating detail, everything from Eric and Tina’s first meeting, to the script, to Henry’s involvement and ending with their grand escape. They only pause for the Captain to either catch up on her notes or to listen

    Bette and Tina sit with the Captain and several officers of her unit, discussing the recent events in excruciating detail, everything from Eric and Tina’s first meeting, to the script, to Henry’s involvement and ending with their grand escape. They only pause for the Captain to either catch up on her notes or to listen to her addendums to the now spectacular story. Bette intentionally left out any information regarding her relationship with the Senator, not because she didn’t want Tina to know that it was actually her connections that led to their rescue, but because she wanted to keep it off the record as per the Senator’s request. She would fill Tina in on everything later. Not that it mattered. Now that they were both safe and sound, the crazy and dangerous adventure seems so far away, so surreal.

    The Captain informs them that the men have been caught and are on their way back to the States. It turns out that both Eric and Henry have several other charges besides attempted murder to worry about, charges that will put them away for a very long time. The Captain doesn’t think the ladies will even need to testify.

    “Is there any chance of recovering the script?” Tina asks, wanting to tie up all the loose ends.

    “I doubt it. This is a private island. The owner is adamant about preserving it. We had a hard enough time getting permission to search for you two.” Tasha glances at Bette before returning her attention to Tina. “Besides, if the backpack is lost in a river, I don’t think the script is going to survive much longer. We also have our best interrogator on route to Ms. Schecter. She doesn’t sound like someone who will put up much of a fight. I’m sure she’ll crack quickly.” Tasha concludes, a sly grin on her face.

    The Captain nods to one of her men after the meeting is over. He walks over and lays a silver briefcase on the desk before stepping back and returning to his post. Tasha opens the case and pulls out a rare bottle of Macallan scotch. Bette recognizes it immediately and smiles from ear to ear. Apparently, the good Senator was not that keen about keeping her identity a secret after all. She’s the only one who would know it was Bette’s favorite and one of the few who could get their hands on such a rare vintage. Tasha laughs out loud knowing exactly what the pilot is thinking, her laugh is distinct and contagious.

      Enjoyed this post thank you. Thought at one time you were going to slip in ‘It was all a dream’ but thank goodness you didn’t! Bette falling asleep – unbelievable but so in character.

    2. Great update LP! I was a little worried when the NC-17 didn’t really appear until page 7 – really the last page? Loved it how Tina had to wake up Bette but such a sweet moment. Interesting future for how they will find a way to stay together. PPS!

      Poor Helena, so in love with Tina and she will never have a chance with her. But come on, who can ever resist a cocky and annoying breath taking pilot like our Bette.

      Helena does not stand a chance in hell with Tina and she is not going to be happy about it at all.

Loving it and you post two times in one week sigh I can rest easily now until next chapter..but I love this, I’m also wondering whats going to happen next…first I think tina should introduce Bette to her friends as her lover and then I think they should stay on the island instead of going back to la..I like pirate Bette and stranded Tina..they funny lol
