“T…is pretty late…we have to wait till tomorrow…” Bette hugged Tina; trying to calm her little…Tina was deep in thoughts, when the light flashed in…”Bette…lest talk to Kit…she may know something more about Maxine…she probable had met her once or twice…”

“I don’t know…I don’t know what to think…I don’t know what to do, I’m so confused…never had been more confused in my life….” Bette was rambling.

“You check on Angie…I’ll call Kit and ask her to come by…I know is late but this can’t wait…I have a bad feeling about this…really bad feeling…” Tina went to the phone and dial Kit’s number. Bette went to check on Angie. She was fast asleep with a happy face, so innocent. When Bette came back in the living room, Tina had finished her call and was waiting for her. Bette walked and wrapped her arms around her protectively…

“I’ll keep you save…you and Angie are my world, and no one is going to harm you…”

“I know…but I’m not afraid for myself…I’m more concerned about you…I don’t know what is going to happens, I did something terrible in the past…and I think this is going to hunt me down…”

“T…what happened…you never told me…”

“I did something that I’m not proud of…and in spite of how many times Grandpa told me it wasn’t my fault…I was…I did it…no one else but me…” Tina start sobbing and Bette held her tight…

“It’s ok…everything is going to be ok…”

“No…is not ok…”

In this moment the doorbell rang announcing Kit’s arrival. Bette jumped and quickly opened the door letting her in.

“What’s wrong baby sis…you sounded worry…what’s going on?” Kit asked looking around

“We found out something very…um…unusual about my mother…” Bette said, sitting on the couch.

“What?”

“Well…it looks like she’s somehow connected to my family…and I have bed feeling about it. I don’t know why, but there’s something more about she been in this book…”

“What book…what are you talking about…?” Kit was having hard time understanding what Tina was saying.

“My grandfather gave me this early today…he told me it was a family book; he’s been working on her from about…I don’t now forever…I found this picture in…” Tina opened at the page with Maxine’s photo…Kit look at her and gasped seeing the woman caused her family breakdown.

“I knew there was something wrong with her…” Kit mumbled, earning a puzzled look from both of them.

“Um…don’t understand me wrong…I love you baby sis…but your mother was…well weird. She was always wearing that smug smile over her face, like she had something that we don’t. She was wearing these strange medallions all the time, oh and that ring…wow it was fascinating. I didn’t like her…I never did…she took my daddy away and I hate her for that. I remember one day, it was shortly after dad left us…he went back to the house, for his stuff and he was like under some spell…he had that strange look and empty stare…he didn’t even recognize me…”

“T…what do you think….” Bette said skeptically…

“I don’t know…my grandpa told me something about my mother…that is hard to believe, if this is thru…I think they knew each other…and I don’t like this. Mario told me about my mother’s ambitions, what she was like before I was born…and after that…I guess your mother have something in common with my mother…”

“You don’t think she’s…”

Tina slowly nods…

“Dad didn’t tell us the whole truth. There’s something more about my mother. Kit…do you believe in the supernatural…” Bette asked     

“Well yeah…no…I don’t know…I don’t believe in …you know hocus pocus and stuffs like that…” Kit said with chuckle, but when she saw the blank faces of the other two, her smile disappeared…”You’re kidding me…you’re kidding me, right?” kit was looking form Bette to Tina. Tina shook her head for “no” which made Kit nearly fainting away…

“Gosh…this is fucked up situation…” kit sighs

“No shit…” Both Bette and Tina said in the same time.
