those times in the past when Alice had been so very interested in the
soap opera aspect of other peoples lives were now coming back to bite
her in the ***** as she now found herself the subject of intense interest
and gossip in the West Hollywood ***** community because of the two women
standing in front of her.
Because they both were in love with her, because they both wanted her,
because they both were such incredible women. Alice knew people were
jealous of her because of it and she couldn’t blame them. Dana and
Gabby were so incredible in an endless variety of ways that Alice
couldn’t grasp that they both could love her. Just the idea of it
seemed so very unbelievable to her she couldn’t even begin to contend
with the mere notion of it.
Which
was unfortunate because it was hardly a concept, they both were in love
with her and Alice couldn’t run away from that any longer. Not when she
was actually confronted with it as Dana and Gabby stood before her,
their eyes wide and their expressions wanting. But as fantastic as it
was that they both loved her, Alice hardly considered herself lucky.
Someone was going to end up hurt by the end of this and there was
nothing she hated more than being a source of pain. Especially for
these two women who meant so much to her.
Over the years, in the various attempts to win Alice back, Gabby spoke
about the connection they shared. She did it enough that it sounded
like a cliche to the blonde even though it really wasn’t. Because they
did connect and interacted on this strangely instinctual level that
Alice had never experienced before meeting her. The screenwriter had
this way about her, this talent to simply look at Alice and be able to
read her completely.
And there was nothing that could manage to shock the snarky brunette
either, she was so open minded that it reached an almost fearless
level. No matter what Alice told her, be it chance thoughts on suicide
in college or her theory that the stuffed ***** pride bear in her room
came to life and stole her socks, it never threw Gabby. She accepted it
with blase ease and made Alice feel that she was perfectly normal when
they both knew she wasn’t.
The problem was the fact that for a large portion of the time she just
simply couldn’t be bothered to listen to these things. Gabby’s
impatience would be painfully obvious and it never failed to reinforce
the insecurities Alice had carried with her since childhood.

I don’t know how I got so lucky but this story is the first TLW fic I’ve read and became one of my favorite. Yes, this is an end of an Era, I’m gonna miss seeing this title next to your name Dreiser. I’m sure your following stories along with the continuing ones will be at least this good. But somehow LOA will be number one in my heart. Thank you for your time.

Like Bconfused – I had never read a fanfic and this was the first one I had read – it got me hooked not only on this story but all the other danish stories. you are an amazing writer and it is weird that this is ending, because i feel like it has been apart of my sundays for so long. guess i’ll just have to reread while waiting for your dana story. great job – perfect ending for such a great well written story. thank you.
This was the first fanfiction I’ve ever read too. It’s because of this one, I found this website. It seems like I’ve been reading it for ages, I can’t believe its over. It was amazing from start to finish, and it definately got me through the summer without the show lolIt was perfect. You are really something.
It really is like the end of an era here and like others this was my first fan-fic story and it was just soo engrossing and soo well written that it captivated me until now–the end. I can’t believe that it’s over but the way you ended it was great, I think everyone ended up just the way they were supposed to..it flowed very well. I can’t wait for your next fic…and never doubt that any of your chapters suck or that your writing is crappy…bc I think we can all agree that they don’t and it doesn’t.
Thanks for share your talent and for love Alice and Dana. Now to wait for your future and current stories.
It’ll be a strange, coming to the site and not finding anymore updates to this fic. Like many, your’s was one of the very first fic I read and I’ll definately miss this. But that was a perfect ending to a perfect sotry. The screenplay by Gabby was a masterstoke, I love Gabby *sigh*. But the fact that a Dana fic is on it’s way does makes up for this fic ending.

OK- so it took me a month to finally read this. Dreiser, this story got me hooked here, started my writing (for better or worse)It was a wonderfully fun, super sappy at moments, yet with relative angst story with a happy ending! Dana does love her lots and lots and lots! Anyone who can bring Monchichi’s into the same chapter as Boom Boom Boom will always have my respect!!!

What an absolute perfect ending for this story. I love how you wrote Gabby at the end of this story, no one is a loser. Thank you for this story, I can honestly say, I’ve enjoyed it and looked forward to it as much as the show itself. Like I told you in the past I would read warning labels if they were written by you. This is my all time favourite fan fic so obviously sorry to see it end…but what an ending!!! Only thing that has puzzled me all along was why no Lenore? I think I am right in saying she only made a brief appearance in this chapter and no other. Anyhoo just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the story and looked forward to reading this almost more than watching the show itself. I a huge Dana fan (not so much with Helacious) so will be keeping an eye out for your next fic. Thank you again for a great story. Danish forever!!!!!!!!
