The weather outside seemed muggy possibly about 85 degrees and it was sunny. Shane had challenged me to a game of basketball today and I couldn’t wait to take her money. It was just a ten dollar bet. I loved the thought of playing Shane it was like Captain versus trainee. I laughed to myself and decided to go with the Laker colors today. I combed my curls back and put my head band on and my wrist bands too. I remember to grab my keys, basketball, cellphone, and last but no least my money. I head downstairs.

Once I reached the bottom step I opened the front door for Shane and Alice I said

“come on..” swinging the door open

Alice and Shane enter my house. I notice Shane wearing her hat and said

“hey…take that hat off….you know how my father is about wearing hat’s in the house”

“I’m sorry” Shane says

Shane takes her hat off and places it under her arm. Alice and Shane enter the kitchen before I do saying” hello”. I walk over to my mom and dad and said

“goodmorning mom…(kissed her head) goodmorning dad…(kissed his head too)”

I grabbed a bagel and sat down at the table before me. I smiled looking over at my family. There are four of us.I have an older sister named Kit who’s currently residing in L.A. I was suppossed to go and visit her this summer but I couldn’t find the time to do so. I have a sister under me named Jennifer she’s 12 a pre-teen who looks alot alike like me. We could pass for twins. And last but not least my baby brother Christian he’s six months and so adorable. Speaking of Christina where is he? I don’t see him and said

“mom…where’s Christian?”

she says “he was just put down for his afternoon nap sweetie”

I frown when I hear the news until Alice says

“see…that’s the price you pay when you stay in bed all morning”

Bette’s father adds…

“I agree” he glances over at me

I sigh and say “Al…mind your own business…there’s no need to get him started” I grab a crossiant this time and take a bite out of it…

Shane laughs and grabs one too…

Melvins says “what?…she’s telling the truth” he closes his paper

Alice jumps in saying ” see someone feels me” she laughs and so does Shane

Jennifer then says “I agree”

my mouth opens wide when my sister adds her two cents. I sighed and tapped my mother saying “mom…you can jump in anytime?”

she turns to my father and says “if the girl wanna stay up all night and sleep long in the day it’s her business to do so” she turns to me and says “my baby’s about to graduate and bring that degree home. Shit if she wanna sleep then let her sleep” she smiles and touches my cheek

I smile and stand to embrace my mother. I whisper in her ear saying “I love you” squeezing her tight

she says “I love you too” she rubs my arm

I grab my ball and another croissant. Alice, Shane, and I head over to the park…
