    the Mutant: Chapter Six {the L word/X-Men crossover}

                Dr. Xavier looked over at Dana as she lay on the table, unconscious. Jean bit on her thumb nail as she watched on. Ororo rested her hand on Jean’s shoulder as Logan looked on with his arms crossed. Dr. Xavier looked up and sighed.

    “Dana needs to rest. She has a lot going on in her head, but she’s not letting me in.”

    “Is she going to be all right?” Jean asked worriedly.

    “I don’t know—she’s draining every inch of strength out of her body. Something set her off that made her go weak by the second.”

    “She began to freak out when she began to see Alice in her mind. She told me that she feels like Alice is in danger.” Jean shook her head. “I don’t know what else to think.” She looked over at Logan, and Logan looked away.

    “We have to let her rest until the morning—she needs to learn how to control.”

    “How are you going to do it?”

    “Just leave that to me—she’s going to be fine Jean.” Jean smiled softly as Dr. Xavier rolled away. She walked over by Dana and looked down at her. Logan walked over to Jean and touched her shoulder.

    “I’m sorry.” Jean moved away from him.

    “You’re the reason why she’s like this.” She looked at him. “You shouldn’t have done that—we don’t know what she’s capable of.”

    “You are afraid that she’s not going to make it.” Jean stared at Logan. “Are you afraid that she’s going to go off with Magneto and forget about you?”

    “You can be such a dick Logan. Are you afraid that Dana is going to take me away from you? It sounds like someone’s a little insecure.” Jean began to walk away from Logan, but he grabbed her arm. “Let go of me.”

    “Not until I know exactly what you see in this woman.”

    “I see a sweet soul and heart unlike you.” She snatched her arm away from Logan’s grasp and walked out. Logan groaned as he walked Jean walk out. He looked over at Dana and walked over to her. He looked down at her and leaned over her.

    “You’re not going to win—I will not let you take Jean away from me.” He ran his hand over her neck and moved it away. He jumped when Dana grabbed his wrist. Her eyes opened, and she looked up at him. The bottles and the cabinets began to shake, and Logan tried to pull his arm away from Dana. Dana sat up, and she smiled up at Logan.

    1. HEY ACB, Brilliant post as Logan just prove what a man he is. Typical to try ans remove Dana. Sweet to see Jean running to Dana. Loved their tender moments together. Guess it is time that Dana knows the truth about Shane. A shock but a necessary one. I do hope Alice is going to be OK. Make it so. Loving your work. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

    2. yay, another chapter and this time with some luvin’. jean gray is just such a hottie, good choice there. and i hate xavier and i hate logan, so i love the re-read on what is essentially an annoyingly male centered movie series. c’est bonne! pps:)
