the Mutant: Chapter Six {the L word/X-Men crossover}
“What’s there to talk about?”
“There’s something that you need to know about your friend—Shane.”
“What about her?”
“She’s not what she seems.” Jean shook her head.
“What does anything that is going on right now have to deal with Shane?”
“Dana—she’s a mutant.”
////
“Where are they now?” Ororo looked at the Professor.
“They stopped outside of the city. I’m not for sure—Dana’s blocking me from letting know where they are.”
“I told you—she’s crazy. Why did you let her come here?” Logan hissed.
“Calm down Logan—the Professor did what he thought was right. I wasn’t trying to cause any harm to any of us.”
Logan ran his hand over his mouth. “I’m going to find them, and I’m bringing Jean back where she belongs.” Logan walked out of the room.
“Logan,” he stopped. “Just let them be—Jean knows what to do. She’s a big girl.”
“I’m not going to sit here while is Jean is out there with Dana. Like she said—we don’t know what Dana is capable of.” Logan walked out.
“He’ll never learn.” Ororo shook her head.
“He will this time—he’s letting his heart get in the way. Just like Scott.”
////
Dana ran her hands in her back pockets as Jean sat on the bed in the motel room they were staying.
“How did this happen?” Dana looked at Jean. “How did Shane turn into a mutant?”
“We don’t know—we tried to figure it out.” Jean got up from the bed. “Maybe she was a late bloomer.”
“A late bloomer?” Dana smiled.
“Shut up,” Jean nudged Dana. “But seriously, Magneto has got her, and they’re creating an army of the so-called brotherhood.”
“Why are they creating an army?”
“Because Magneto thinks it’s their time to take over—but this is a song that we’ve heard once before.”
“I’m guessing he never succeeded because of the famous X-Men.” Dana looked over at Jean.
“Yeah—you can put it that way.”
“Why did you come after me? I thought you would let me go on my own.”
“Because—I care for you, and I didn’t want you to be alone out here.” Jean grabbed Dana’s hand.
“Thank you,” Dana nodded, and she looked down. “I never thought that someone would care for like that again.”

HEY ACB, Brilliant post as Logan just prove what a man he is. Typical to try ans remove Dana. Sweet to see Jean running to Dana. Loved their tender moments together. Guess it is time that Dana knows the truth about Shane. A shock but a necessary one. I do hope Alice is going to be OK. Make it so. Loving your work. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
Damn Dana and Jean are hot!
oh, and i was really struck by some of your rather clever dialogue…you should make this into an actual comic. it would rooooock.
yay, another chapter and this time with some luvin’. jean gray is just such a hottie, good choice there. and i hate xavier and i hate logan, so i love the re-read on what is essentially an annoyingly male centered movie series. c’est bonne! pps:)
