The bus awaits with Sharon and her son, Howie awaiting. Off in the distance, a few members of the press are fielding reports in the Early Morning hours of the day, which is closer to Mid Morning on the East Coast where the hosts of various news shows happen to be. None of that however matters too much to Sharon, Howie or the people about to board the bus.
The bus driver relaxes as she prepares for a fun driving trip with over 40 people trusting her to do a good job. This isn’t the job she wants however, but it’s something to pass the time by. Like so many others in Southern California, her desire is to make it as a writer for TV. She’s already submitted a screenplay about a lesbian based TV series, but so far no takers. Maybe people aren’t ready for that sort of thing yet. Part of her wonders if maybe she put too many male characters and heterosexual characters into the screenplay. She ponders this for a moment and shakes her head in denial. The door is open and first to step aboard is Tonya, along with Helena. The bus driver turns to them with a smile.
Ilene: Good morning!
Tonya and Helena show their tickets and enter. Alice and Lara are next to enter, followed by Bette, Tina with Angelica. Kit and Angus are also there with the happy couple. Angus has his guitar with him. Shane, Carmen, Jenny, Marina and Max all board next. Max politely waves to Sharon and Howie. As Max walks towards his eventual seat, Howie slightly turns his head back to keep Max in sight. An interest is piqued.
Mark enters, along with Trish. The two have gotten to know each other quite well in the last couple of days. Gomey, Gene, Dax, Leigh, Ivan, Robin and Lacey all soon board as well. Chandra enters, along with Uta and Gabby. Gabby sees Alice and Lara and slightly waves. Alice and Lara acknowledge with nods, but that’s about it. Uta meanwhile is deeply covered to keep the emerging sunlight off of her. Still more are boarding.
Dylan and Candace enter the bus and see people that they had saw at the party. Upon Candace seeing Bette and Tina and Dylan seeing Helena, they both wonder if this was a good idea. Time will tell. Lis enters and he looks for a seat. He sees Shane, his old friend is seated and there’s also Alice, a former date of his. This oughtta be an interesting ride, he thinks to himself.

I think I’m getting old, so much characters to focus on. I’m a little bit confused, but I really like your story.
That sounds like an interesting bus trip. But I would be terrified of the bus driver. She has been known to screw up some tv characters just to be mean spirited.
Great! update! it made me laugh lots… great writer.
superb update as always, i get the feeling this trip is going to be full of drama
It’s amazing how you are able to keep together all these characters. I hope not to sound conceit but, as a suggestion, maybe you should separate the stories; I mean they are too many characters for five pages. Anyway the story is really great, funny and interesting. I hope I’ didn’t offend you… keep it up! bye
Great how you introduced all the characters using Mark & his camera. Unfortunately the passengers are being led around by Ilene, who more than likely has no sense of direction. Who the hell let Betty on w/ guitars? That alone would get me off the bus, sorry Dane. Other than that , can’t wait to see if all goes well. Glad Shane & Carmen are working it out. Super update.
