4 days had gone past and still Angelica hadn’t woken up.  She kept being taken for regular scans.  Bette and Tina had been told by Dr Kray that the pressure was reducing which had lifted their sprites but with each passing day and Angelica still not responding at all, this was very quickly turning to despair again. 

They both had been living at the hospital day and night with their friends coming by with food and clean clothes. They would go outside for short periods of time but only when Shane, Kit, Alice or Helena visited, they had made a silent pact that Angelica would never be on her own.

Tina was the first one to wake, getting up she went through her morning routine which was to stand up, stretch her legs and back walk over to Angie, give her a kiss and say good morning to her baby girl.  She would then go and get some coffee for herself and Bette. 

As she walked into the room she would always stop by the doorway and just watch Bette sleeping, she always looked so beautiful asleep, she reminded Tina of Angelica when she was asleep they both had the same innocent look on their face.  Tina’s heart jumped to her throat and her stomach turned, it astonished Tina that even after all this time the sight of Bette asleep would still get this reaction.  It had always been this way since the first time she woke up with her by her side.

Tina walked as quietly as she could and placed the mug of coffee beside Bette, she then sat in her seat drinking but also watching Bette a piece of hair fell across her face, Tina wanted to get up and push it behind Bette’s ear just like she had done in the past, it took all self control not to get up when every once of her being shouted at her to carry out this task.

Bette began to wake up, slowly she opened her eyes, she knew the first person she would see was Tina, she was hoping that she would still be asleep so she could watch her, she breathed in and smelt the coffee, she couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
