    The Tower Of Learning

Bette sat for a few moments still looking at the road then back at Tina.

    Bette: Okay.

Bette smiled. Soon they were at the beach and looking for parking. Tina glanced around.

Tina: Hey isn’t that Shane’s truck. I know that’s Paige’s minivan over there.

    Bette looked at the truck.

    Bette: I think so.

She pulled around and parked a few cars down from the vehicle. Bette and Tina got out and started making there way to the beach where they saw Helena and Alice already in the water and Shane and Paige attempting to build a sandcastle with Angie, who wanted to destroy it every chance she got. Shane looked up and saw Bette and Tina and smiled.

    Shane: Hey guys.

Bette: Hey, was she any trouble last night?

Paige: Barely, she went to sleep right away.

As Bette approached Helena and Alice got out of the water and started heading up as well.

Tina: I need something to drink, I’m going to head up to the beach bar, any one else want anything?

The other girls shook there head then Tina decided to head over. Bette sat down beside Angie who then noticed she was there.

    Angie: Hi momma.

Bette smiled and pulled Angie onto her lap.

    Bette: Hey sweetness.

Angie pointed to the pile of sand.

    Angie: Sandcastle.

    Bette smiled.
    Bette: Yeah it is.

Angelica moved off her lap and started attacking the sand castle. Shane laughed and shook her head.

    Shane: She’s a little destroyer.

Bette: Yup, that’s what it looks like.

Bette got up and walked a little ways away from the group. She stood watching the water glimmer in the sunlight. Then she felt a hand on her upper arm.

Alice: Bette, can I talk to you?

    Bette: Sure, what’s up?

Alice: I want to apologize for last night. I was so out of line and I’m really sorry.

    Bette smiled.

Bette: It’s okay. It’s done now.

    Alice nodded.

    Alice: It’s been bugging me.

Bette pulled Alice in for a tight hug and rubbed her back.

    Bette: It’s okay Al.

Alice smiled and pulled back a little from Bette.

Alice: But now I’m having a dilemma of my own.

    Bette: What’s up?

    Alice: I like Helena.

    Bette smirked.

    Bette: We all like Helena.

Alice: No B, I really like Helena.

Bette’s eyebrows creased and then she finally understood.

Bette: Ohhh, you really "like" Helena.

    Alice: Yeahhh.

    Bette: Ask her out.

    Alice: You think?

    Bette: Sure, why not?

Alice: This is so fucked up, I feel like I’m in high school.

Bette laughed and watched as Tina was walking back to the group.

    Tina: Hey, what’s so funny?

    Bette: Alice.

    Tina: Ahh. Thought as much.

Helena came up and stood next to Alice.

Alice: Will you come to dinner with me?

Helena just looked at Alice. Bette burst out laughing and Tina just raised an eyebrow.

    Helena: Are you serious?

Alice: See Bette? Mistake! Total Mistake!

Helena: No no! Yes, I’ll go to dinner with you!

    Alice: What?

Helena: I’ll go to dinner with you.

    She said suddenly blushing.

    Alice: You mean it?

    Helena: Yes.

Alice: Like you are you sure? You’re positive you want to go on a date with me because you don’t have…

Helena: God damn it Alice I like you!

    Alice raised her eyebrows.

Helena: I cannot believe we are having this conversation here right now, so unromantic.

At that all the girls burst out laughing, even Helena and Alice. And that was the beginning to a great day for all the girls. Through out the time, Tina and Bette would get in the water and get out then grab Angie and go back in. The three of them had a blast. Until it was time to leave.

    TBC…

    1. I think it is time for Tina ask for Bette to stay because I know Tina loves Bette and needs her. For sure, Bette feels the same way too! Please continue!

    2. Another great chapter as usual B. I like the way this story is going. However, not so sure Tina should jump into anything so soon after the mess that was her last relationship. Even if it is with Bette. Can’t wait for next chapter and ttyl.
