#TLW10– But we can take it slow…
All three of them sat on the big white couch
“Oh we’ll I guess it’s better if I’ll just come back here tomorrow then if that’s the case”
“Well I don’t think it’s even a good idea for you to drive alone, why don’t you call Henry to pick you up?”
The blonde bit her lower lip, how could she tell the brunette that after their fight a few hours ago calling Henry was not a sensible thing to do.
“I don’t think Henry would like to hear from me again”
Bette furrowed her brows “What do you mean?”
“We had a huge fight” the blonde said her voice low but audible enough for the brunette to hear
“Did he hurt you?”
Tina could hear the protectiveness in the brunette’s voice, one of the traits she loved about her
“No Bette he didn’t”
“Good but no matter how big the fight is, Henry should put aside your differences and come here and get you especially at this time it’s not safe to drive alone under this weather”
Tina made a small smile; a distant memory came into her that happened a long time ago…
She was just starting to date Bette at that time and she was finishing a very important project and was meeting a deadline and so even if it was all over the news that a super storm was fast approaching LA and that it was best for people to remain inside their home or if they were at work then it would be better for them to go home early she didn’t. The blonde chose to stay at the office even if most of her colleagues already left; she thought she could still go home a little later despite the bad weather condition.
After safely saving all of her works in her computer the power went off. She immediately thought about calling security, but the phone lines were down as well. She gathered all of her things took a flashlight in her drawer and climbed down the stairs since the elevator was not working.
When she reached the lobby the security guard told her that there was zero visibility outside due to heavy rain and strong wind and driving wasn’t really an option. She felt trapped and told herself that she didn’t have a choice but to spend the night at the office. She sat on one of the hard chairs in the side and put her feet on the other chair.
