    Author Notes:

    Five years after the fall of B&T.

     

    Tina took Bette’s hand.

    Tina:  “I never wanted you to be perfect.  Yes relationships have ups and downs.  And no you are not your father.”

    Bette:  “I didn’t know if you would accept my faults.  I mean I know you would have accepted me, I know that now.  But back then I thought you would see me as a failure.  I couldn’t stop us from losing the baby.”

    Bette started crying then.  Tina was crying too.  They held on to one another for a moment.

     

    Tina:  “Bette forgive yourself.  It was not your fault.  God has his reasons.  And we have to accept that.”

    Bette:  “I know that now T.”

    Tina:  “I like hearing you call me T again.”  She smiled at Bette, wiping the tears from her face and from her own.

    Bette:  “Well I think we have done enough therapy between us for the day.”

    Tina:  “Yeah, I think so.  I should go.”

     

    Bette:  “I’m having a BBQ at my new place next Saturday.  I’d like for you and Sarah to come.”

    Tina:  “You cook now?”

    Bette laughed.

    Bette:  “***** no!  But I can BBQ with some help from my friends.”

    Tina laughed.

    Tina:  “Thanks for the invitation, we’ll be there.  I assume the usual suspects will be there too.”

    Bette:  “Of course.”

     

    Tina:  “And next Sunday, same time, same place?”

    Bette:  “It’s a date.”

    Tina:  “A date?”

    Bette:  “You know what I mean.”

    Tina:  “Yeah, I’m just testing you.”

    Tina stood as did Bette.  Tina leaned over and kissed Bette on the cheek.

    Bette:  “Thank you Tina for for doing this.”

    Tina:  “Thank you Bette for coming back and facing your demons.  We’ll get thru this together.  I promise.”

    Bette:  “Yes together, we’ll fix us.”

     

    Bette went home to rest.  Before she took a nap she wanted to call Claire and fill her in on what was happening.

    Claire:  “Hello?”

    Bette:  “Hey Claire.”

    Claire:  “Bette god, I’ve been wondering about you.  How’s it going?”

    Bette:  “Good, very good.”

    Bette told her of the night with the girls.  Then she shared all about her meeting with Tina.

     

    Claire:  “Sounds like you are on the right track.”

    Bette:  “Yes, I think so.  But I miss you.”

    Claire:  “You’re doing fine.”

    6. Beautifully written. The fact that each is dreaming of the other is a very good sign. Their sub consious re-affirming them as to where their hearts truly lie.

      I like the fact that Tina is seeing someone but doesn’t use her as an outlet. Whereas Bette is no longer seeing Clair, she still leans on her. Its good to see they have people outside the Family.

      Please post soon, this is a great story.

      She’s at the door and Tina has already gotten off. Should she just concede defeat now and cut her losses?

Sarah is a sllep over buddie to Tina and Clair is a friend in need to Bette at least they have someone to turn to, Sarah is not going to like the fact that Tina will be seeing Bette so often. She will say something to bette and Tina will send her far far away. thanks

    14. That was some HOT chapter for the girls and for us too. Love the fact that they can not stop thinking of each other even when they are asleep and remembering some of those favorite moments in their lives. I know we will see them together soon and they will remain so forever. AMEN!!! Happy that they can still talk to each other and not get crazy, jealous, etc. Love this story. Post soon please.

      Love this part – very touching:
      Bette: “Can I ask you something?”

      Tina: “Sure”
      Bette: “Do you miss us? What we had?”
      Tina: “Yes I do everyday.”

    26. With the NC-17, I was worried since I didn’t think Bette and Tina was together yet…..phew….this was nice. Maybe they can “phone” each other? Hee.
