    A damsel in distress finds a worthy rescuer

    “Alice it’s Tina.” Tina put as much love and reassurance into her voice as possible. “What’s wrong baby?”

    “Snappy escaped.”

    “Snappy escaped?”

    “Yes, Snappy escaped and is hunting me!” Alice whispered while looking all around her to make sure the turtle was not climbing the couch.

    “Alice, sweetie … Snappy can’t hurt you. Well … not in a life threatening way.” Tina reviewed the incident at the animal shelter.

    “Can you and Bette come and rescue me?” Alice pleaded.

    “Alice … Bette, Angelica and I are about to board the plane. The second boarding call is just being announced.”

    “Oh …”

    “You know, you remember we are heading off to visit with my parents for two weeks … don’t you? To introduce Angelica …”

    “Oh … umm, ok. Yes I remember.” Talking to Tina had calmed Alice’s nerves slightly.

    “T, we need to board. Now.” Bette motioned.

    “Look, Al we have to board the plane. Call Shane to help you.”

    “I already have. She laughed and hung up on me.” A quiver of tears entered Alice’s voice.

    “Awww, Alice. How about Dana?”

    “T!!!!!!!”

    “Ok, ok Alice. Calm down. Try the animal shelter or if no one is available, try Kit. I’m sure someone will be able to help you out.”

    “T!”

    “I’m sorry ma’am, no phone calls are really allowed past this point.” The flight attendant requested as they made their way onto the plane.

    “Alice, we have to go. Sorry! Bye and take care. OK?” Tina sighed deep and long, placing the phone in Bette’s purse, stowed it and her coat before taking her own seat.

    Bette with the help of the attendant made sure Angelica was secured before turning and taking Tina’s hand.

    “Don’t worry T. Alice will be fine without us.”

    “I’m sure. I just don’t like leaving her alone at a time like this. Her break up from Dana has really pushed Al over the deep end.”

    Bette snorted. “I think it is more the prescription Al’s quack has her on.”

    “It sure does not seem to help much. At least it motivates her to be out and about again.”

    “That’s one good thing.” Bette replied as both mothers put a reassuring and comforting hand on their daughter as the plane rose.

    2. That’s it, I’m getting myself a turtle but if mine turns out to be less cute than Snappy I’m demanding a refund. One of the most hillarious fic on the site, so tell me, how many turtles do you think Dana is lying on?
