    In the final chapter of this FanFic, Carmen’s secret is revealed and Shane and her daughter are put to the ultimate test…survival!

    Chapter 20- A Home Turned Upside Down

     

    Carmen looked at herself in the mirror. She turned sideways and looked at how the dress fit her curves. Just then, Shane poked her head in the door.

     

    Shane: Carmen, you almost ready to go?

     

    Carmen: Yeah, god I can’t believe we’ve waited this long for our families to finally meet her.

     

    Shane: I know.

     

    Carmen walked out in her beautiful floral dress. She spotted Alex sitting on the couch, wearing jeans and a really nice men’s dress shirt with her plain black tie. She looked over and smiled at Shane who was in black jeans, a white t-shirt and a tailored jacket. Alex stood up. Shane chuckled as did Carmen when they saw the way she had done her hair. It was smoothed down and parted to the side. She looked like a four year old who’s mother had dressed them.

     

    Alex: What? Do I look like a total idiot?

     

    Shane walked up to her and ruffled her hair up, messing it up completely.

     

    Alex: Hey that took a long time to get to stay.

     

    Shane: Yeah, that’s because hair wasn’t meant ever to look like that.

     

    Shane finished up.

     

    Shane: Much better.

     

    Carmen: We ready to go now?

     

    Shane and Alex nodded and they all piled into the truck.

     

    Fifteen minutes later, they arrived at the Morales house. The place looked packed. The street and driveway were packed to the max with cars. Everyone had gathered here to celebrate the start of summer. Shane was anxious to see her dad and Shae again. It had been almost 6 months since the last time she had seen them. Carmen turned to Alex.

     

    Carmen: Don’t be nervous, they’re all gonna love you.

     

    Shane: And if some random person just hugs you, don’t freak out, it’s just your Abuela.

     

    Carmen chuckled.

     

    Carmen: You think you’re so funny!

     

    Shane: I got you to laugh.

     

    At this, Alex laughed nervously. Carmen licked her thumb and whipped something off of Alex’s face.

     

    Alex: Ughh Madre!

     

    Shane: Carmen!

     

    Carmen: What? She had some…

     

    Alex whipped her face.

    6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY-GIRL!!!!!!!I love this story it fuckin’ kick ass!! I really don’t want to see this end . . . and so sadly :( . . . Shane can’t just let Carmen go like that . . . I have faith that those two are gonna’ find each other with Alex’s help, of course!! I’m excited for this sequel, don’t keep us waiting for too long!!
