Hermes is fine. He’s at the fire station where he is being pampered I am told by all the fire fighters.

Shane I love you dearly and this is very hard for me to do to you but I cannot bear the thought that it is my fault for nearly loosing you! You are the love of my life and I promise that one day we will see each other again. I want you to know that I will miss you unbearingly but will love you unconditionally.

As for you Alex, you turned our lives upside down. We’ve helped you through mistakes, and you’ve helped us through ours. You gave us what we needed most in life and filed in all the missing gaps.

You may not know it but before you arrived, you mother would be up in the middle of the night, reliving her childhood through nightmares. The doctors said it was because she was missing something in her present. Well, after we adopted you, those dreams went away. Alex, you made both of our hearts swell with content which is why I can’t imagine life without you!

But somehow, I am going to get by but I want you both to know that it will not be easy for me and I hope you never forget me!

Shane looked up at her daughter and shook her head.

Shane: How could she? Just leave us!

Alex: I don’t know mom.

Shane’s face was covered in tears. She then broke down and reached out for Alex. Alex took her into her arms and held her mother close. Shane pulled the teen into bed with her.

Alex: Mom, she was pregnant.

Shane looked up at Alex.

Shane: She left us.

Alex nodded and they both cried together.

Shane couldn’t believe that Carmen had left, she couldn’t believe that she was going to have their baby. She couldn’t believe that Alex was being so sturdy for her, if anything she should be comforting Alex. But no, Alex looked down at her with strong eyes.

Alex: We’ll get through this mom, we’ll do this together. Stick by each other, remember?

Shane: Thank you so much for saving me, but honey thanks for saving your Madre and the baby! I know that took a lot of courage.

Alex: I wasn’t gonna leave you there and I knew that if Madre went in, all three of you would never come out. There was no option.

Shane cried and clung to her daughter. Alice walked in, crying.

Shane: Alice?

Alice: Alex called me up, filled me in. I spent all day looking for her. Wherever she is, it’s not in LA and she definitely doesn’t want to be found. Thank god you two are okay!

Shane: where’s Lara?

Alice: Still looking.

Alice went over and hugged each of them.

Alice: I envy you two because no matter what, you two will always have each other.

Shane looked down at Alex and she knew that no matter what, Alex would always be there to lean on. She already missed Carmen but now, as much as she still loved her, she knew Carmen was in her past. Right now, it was her and Alex against the World.

Well all I know is that this is where I wanted this part to end so now, I’m gonna take a break. I’m in the middle of writing a movie then we’ll cast and shoot it. It’s one of my summer projects. SO here it lays, the final chapter of Part 1 of Traced in the Stars that I post on my birthday!
